Description

Tastefully converted farm buildings Le Jardin is on one floor (but not one level). Modern bathroom, fully fitted kitchen/sitting room and comfortable bedrooms each with its own sitting area. Ideal for relaxing on the terrace, walking or cycling on the extensive local tracks or just over an hour from the beaches of the Southern Vendee. Several local markets, and easy travelling distance to attractions such as Futuroscope or Puy du Fou ...which has recently been voted No. 1 Theme Park in the World!

Very close to the picturesque village of Vouvant and the Mervent Forest.... ideal for walking and cycling in the hot summer!

Mervent has a small Zoo and an Adventure Park and also a small Theme Park " Pierre Brun "

We try to make our guests feel this is their home during their stay. We therefore provide those useful things that are difficult in small quantities - salt, pepper, cooking/olive oil, kitchen foil etc. We provide all domestic towels and linen and also beach/pool towels. We have found this gite is very popular... the twin room is very large ..so we are very happy to provide an extra bed to accommodate an extra person if needed

We have had enquiries to bring " Granny" and we are happy to offer accommodation in the main house ... so that they can have " privacy" .. but join the family during the day !

Large shared garden (almost 1 acre), with swings, boules court, and ample parking. Great walking and cycling locally. Golf half an hour away by car. The gite has both bedrooms opening on to a terrace.... just a short walk to the swimming pool....

“Peaceful Vandee”

we had a lovely week staying with Jane and Ian in Le Jardin. The gardens and pool area are well kept and very pretty. The bedrooms are a good size with double doors out onto the garden, making them nice and bright. The kitchen is well stocked with all you need. Jane and Ian were great at helping us when our daughter fell ill, making an appointment for us with their own English speaking doctor. Our only downside was the weather, not something anyone can control!

We spent a month with Ian and Jane in their delightful gite - LE jardin. Ian and Jane were extremely helpful and attentive and all our needs were met! Beautiful garden and many villages and places of interest around especially enjoyed vovuant.

“Little jewel in the heart of La Vendee”

Here is a very well equipped gite somewhat remote, yet with easy access to moderately large towns such as La Chataignerie and Niort. These themselves are a pleasure to visit, but local to the give are splendid rural walks, full of flora and fauna. The gite itself is charming and looks out on a swimming pool with about an acre of grounds around. The owners are helpful and with their local knowledge, can advise on things to see and do in the vicinity. This gite is highly recommended.

“A French home from home”

Very French, with lovely surroundings. The accommodation was very well laid out and comfortable. You are welcomed with a meal if you want, and then given the tour. You are given an information pack covering all the things you would need for your stay. There was satellite TV, and loads of DVD's if you wanted, this is a holiday home from home. Highly recommended.

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.

If Cath (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
