The Barn is a large period barn conversion set on the edge of a farm on the outskirts of the village of Walberton. The property is full of character, with exposed beams and a back to back log burner in the drawing room and dining hall being just two examples of its many features. There is a super farmhouse type kitchen which is well equipped and there is also an impressive dining hall which benefits from having a log burner. There is a large drawing room, ideal for entertaining, and the galleried landing on the first floor provides extra ancillary sleeping. In all, the accommodation comprises a dining hall, kitchen with breakfast area, drawing room, a ground floor bedroom and bathroom, large galleried landing with further sleeping area, and three further double bedrooms on the first floor. The main bedroom has an en-suite bathroom fitted with an elegant slipper bath, there is also a second family bathroom. The Barn’s large ground floor area is for holiday let purposes only and suitable for family and friends to get together, enjoy meals, use it as a base to visit the many local attractions, walking or cycling across the Southdowns or stay inside by the log burner and play board games.

.NB The Barn must not be used for parties or social events. Guests are asked to enjoy themselves indoors quietly after 11 pm.

Bed linen and towels are provided, (no baby bedding provided for the cot). Pets will be allowed at an extra supplement of £20.00 per week.

Wood for the back to back woodburner is provided. (There is also central heating)

There is off road parking and a pleasant courtyard, along with garden furniture and a BBQ (charcoal not provided)

The courtyard is enclosed for children and dogs

The England region

The Barn is situated close to the beautiful rolling Southdowns where there are myriads of footpaths and cycling tracks. Country villages, Singleton, east dean, Amberley, lying close to the river Arun to name a few. East Dean garden and café a favorite visit, as is Arundel Castle and the popular Swanbourne lake and tea shops galore. London for a day trip with easy access to Barnham station on direct line for a good day out. Closer by is the well known Goodwood race course and The Revival and Festival of speed. Fontwell race course is even closer.

Brighton and Portsmouth both easy to access from the rail station at Barnham

The beaches at Clymping and West Witterings are a must, summer or winter.

Walberton

The Barn is a few minutes by car to great walking country, the Southdowns. Stop in Slindon at the Forge café before enjoying the lovely west Sussex countryside. Shoppers will love the City of Chichester, 10 mins away by car. Great for eating out, browsing the shops or visiting art galleries and the ancient Chichester Cathedral. Arundel is also close by and a great place to visit the galleries and antique shops, eat out or enjoy their famous tea rooms alongside the River Arun.

The Hilton Hotel in Walberton for golf or a meal out and Bailiffs Court at Clymping for a spa is a lovely treat.

Try the Black Horse in Binsted, a mile away for lunch or dinner and great views

*Up to two well behaved dogs are welcomed for a £20 pet fee each. Dogs MUST NOT be left unattended at any time and are not allowed upstairs or on the furniture. Payment of the pet fee is made in cash upon your arrival.
*The Barn may be used as a holiday home notfor parties or social events. Guests must not cause disturbance to nearby homes. We ask that you enjoy yourselves indoors after 11:00PM and vacate the outdoor areas.
