Our vacation rental is a former farmhouse, a so-called "Kaakberg' in the countryside near Edam, only 15 miles from Amsterdam!

The Kaakberg is beautiful located in the countryside near Edam, an old "cheese" town, with views on the lake and 'polders'. It is very comfortable for 4 persons. There are two separate bedrooms, one with a double bed and one with two separate beds, and we have 2 sofa beds in the living room to accommodate 2 more persons, if necessary. Please ask. We can add children beds. Children under 5 are free if they sleep in the childrens beds we can provide (one for max. 5 and one for max. 3 years old). The rental includes lots of extra's free of costs, like bikes, private sauna, private outdoor spa, parking and free internet (wireless).

    How do damage deposits work?

    In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

    Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.

    How do I edit my booking?

    You can request to change the dates or number of people on your booking via the Manage your holiday booking page. To change your holiday dates use the Edit booking button. If you need to change the number of guests staying then send Saskia (the owner) a message.

    If Saskia (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
