Welcome to our quaint and quirky caravan accommodation in rural nsw. Lovingly restored and made comfortable for your stay. Wake up to the sounds of chickens, cockatoos, alpacas and sheep as the sun rises on a beautiful rural landscape. Our caravan is located in the heart of Hotel Lane and next to the outdoor shower, kitchen, cinema and classroom. Our caravan sleeps up to 5 guests (1 double + 3 single beds) and includes a basic kitchen (fridge, kettle, toaster, stove top, plates&cutlery), heater, linen and plenty of bedding.
Your booking is for 2 guests with an additional $20 a night per guest after this up to 5 guests maximum.
This is a peaceful village and an opportunity for you to enjoy sitting in the garden listening to the myriad of birdlife and enjoying the tranquillity of a natural bush environment. Hotel Lane functions not only as a social meeting point for our local community but also as a family home and business. Guests are welcome to participate with all social activities when available but are invited to enjoy the quietness of the landscape. Hotel Lane is an eclectic environment from one day to the next and may involve live music, bush poets, art&craft, cinema, markets or nothing at all. Guests are invited to choose their own adventure.
During our winter months it gets dark early so we encourage guests to bring their own entertainment or borrow one of our many boardgames. Fire-drums available during the evenings with a small donation for firewood ($5). Star-gazing under a blanket is a most enjoyable activity. Piano and instruments also available in our classroom/outdoor lounge-room.
During the summer months it stays light and bright until almost 9pm. The farm stays generally social and activity with events and functions and guests are welcome to participate. Bush Cinema is also available on request with your choice of movies for a private outdoor screening under the stars for a fee of $20 (weather permitting) which is a unique and enjoyable experience for all. All year, especially in the summer months guests are welcome to explore the many waterholes and features of our natural area (swimming holes, caves, prospecting, bush walks and spotlight tours).
There is no wifi available at Hotel Lane however your personal wifi will work and most mobile networks get reception.
For guests interested in off-grid living, earth building, micro farms, innovative biodiversity, cutting edge sustainability we are able to arrange a local tour of our friends and neighbours properties on request. We also offer a broad range of healing modalities inc ortho-bionomy, reiki, massage, meditation, and yoga for those interested.
Upon arrival we will provide guests with provisions for your comfort inc Tea/coffee, milk, fresh farm eggs (when available), towels and linen, hot water bottles and grandma blankets.
We have an outdoor kitchen for guest use which inc fridge, toaster, bbq, kettle, drinking water (rain water), and a small selection of cooking provisions (oil, seasonings etc). Kitchen is undercover and available 24/7. First aid kit and fire extinguisher located in the kitchen.
There is no public transport to Coolatai Village and limited access to services. We advise guests that the closest petrol station and general store is 30mins away. There is a lovely country pub in the village (2min walk from Hotel Lane) serving meals. Open every day except Monday. We have a summer (cold water) shower and composting toilet available at Hotel Lane for those wishing to experience the full eco/outdoor experience and guests are also welcome to use the house bathroom/toilet during daytime hours. There are hot showers and toilets at the Community Hall available 24/7 a 2min walk away. Our Community maintains these public restrooms by donation (gold coin) as part of the Coolatai fundraising efforts for the future of the village and we encourage your support.
Hotel Lane Op Shop is now open for your convenience stocking an eclectic range of camping, kitchen, clothing, and bric-a-brac.
