You will receive a warm welcome and feel at home straight away in the Anchorage Wells, our comfortable 15th century nautical themed cottage bed and breakfast with 3 en-suite king double, triple, twin and family en-suite rooms. Only 2 minutes from Wells harbour, restaurants open all year round and a lovely walk from probably the best beach in Britain.

Note that your booking is not confirmed until you receive an email with further details and cost confirmation from Avril at Anchoragebandb couk.

3 newly decorated en-suite rooms consist of: -

All our double beds are king size with a nautical theme in oak or shabby chic furnishings.

The Port king en-suite room has an extra full sized single bed so it can be used as a Twin (price based on two in a double). It has its own private staircase and large window in the entrance where you have a distant harbour view and can see the sun rise. The waste water is pumped out in this room.

The Starboard king room is traditionally furnished in oak and has a windy staircase built into a former chimney with stairs steeper than normal.

Our top deck attic family suite is a favourite with our guests and has a king bed, 2 low level single beds in a separate room and is all built into the sloping attic roof. This room is accessed by a double staircase with stairs steeper than normal, has a low doorway between the rooms, a sofa sitting area and dual aspect distant view of the Harbour, Blakeney and the pine trees.

You will have your own entrance from the front terrace and porch that is used for boots and crabbing buckets. This leads into the guests dining room that has a fridge with fresh milk for your tea and coffee and filtered water. You can also use it for storing your snacks and chilling drinks.

From the dining room the two staircases are accessed for the 3 guests rooms and an entrance into our area at the back making the front of the house exclusive for guests so that you can come and go as you please without disturbing anyone.

Saturday nights is a minimum of 2 nights and in holidays it is a minimum of 3 nights except where less nights can be fitted in with other bookings.

There is a supplement for 1 night stays from £5 when they are available and an extra adult £25 or child £20 each.

The top deck suite is an extra £10 per night.

Children must be over 11 years old.

Breakfast

The bed and breakfast price includes locally sourced home cooked or continental breakfast, which is full English every day except on Sunday or Monday during sailing season when we do a slightly later breakfast or a a discounted no breakfast option. We will confirm this with you when you book.

For B&B guests help yourself to the wide choice for breakfast whilst the chef prepares the freshly cooked food between 8.30 and 9am. Including fresh fruit, yoghurt, cerials, toast, jam, marmelade, nuts, seads, orange juice and top up your pots of tea and fresh coffee as often as you want, which can be made available at an earlier or later time.

Other Facilities

Guest’s dining room with a fridge that contains fresh milk for your tea and coffees, filtered water and can be used for chilling your own beverages and snacks.

Dining room has cups, mugs, glasses, cutlery and plates for your use.

Porch has lots of towels for removing the sand and mud as our 15c drainage cannot cope with the extra and our linen and towels are pure white.

Hose pipe for rinsing off the sand and mud (we use it for Dido too)

We want our guests to feel at home, so if you need anything else during your stay, please tell us, as we provide a homely relaxed atmosphere and everything for you to help yourself, so top up your tea bags, douwe egberts coffee, biscuits and help yourself to new cups, glasses as required.

The lounge, with a large LCD screen, can be made available on request by prior arrangement and we can purchase sky passes for you so that you don’t miss those important sporting events.

Guests own terrace that captures the evening sun.

We cannot accept dogs in the B&B but please request for off peak for our apartment. Contact me direct at AnchorageWells.

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.

How do I edit my booking?

You can request to change the dates or number of people on your booking via the Manage your holiday booking page. To change your holiday dates use the Edit booking button. If you need to change the number of guests staying then send avril (the owner) a message.

If avril (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
