Genuine Mongolian Yurt, hand painted and beautifully made! magnificent view overlooking farmland and woods. Perfect for a rural retreat, with no electricity. Solar lighting and separate composting loo (private!) right next door, short walk to shared shower facilities. Outdoor covered kitchen. Sleeps 4 with space to spare, extra mattresses available. Outdoor furniture, BBQ and fire pit provided, tons of space to explore!

The yurt is alone in its field, giving you privacy and space. It is a stunning bit of craftsmanship, and furnished with everything you need for a relaxing stay. The yurts are as 'green' as their paint! There is no electricity, instead we have provided solar fairy lights, solar lanterns and tea light lanterns.... and a view of the stars through the transparent central panel of the roof! Water is stored in a 20 litre container with a tap, refilled near the main house, a short walk away. There is an insulated cooler box, with ice blocks that can be exchanged every day, keeping your food fresh. A two ring gas cooker is provided in addition to the BBQ, as well as all cooking utensils, cutlery and crockery. We supply all bed linen, but please bring your own towels. The feel is rustic but comfy, inside is a cosy and delightful space. Please note, the meadow itself is not yet all grassed, and some areas are a little thistly, so please bring sturdy footwea

You have the yurt, your own composting toilet and most of the field to yourself! There are other guests in our B and B rooms, and the second yurt, and they may meander around parts of the field from time to time. The shower facilities are in a nearby outbuilding and are shared with the other yurt (Our solar panels supply most of the electricity used in here). There is also a regular toilet in there! These facilities are basic, but clean and the shower is hot.

We are always ready to help and advise, we love our home here and want you to love your stay too!

Other things to note

If you need to charge a phone, we can make a charging place available in an outbuilding. If you prefer to lose touch with the outside world - go ahead!

We will provide tea, coffee and sugar as well as some milk to get you started. There are tea towels, washing up equipment (including washing up liquid), salt and pepper and cooking oil. Please bring your own towels.

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.

How do I edit my booking?

You can request to change the dates or number of people on your booking via the Manage your holiday booking page. To change your holiday dates use the Edit booking button. If you need to change the number of guests staying then send Terry (the owner) a message.

If Terry (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
