Finished to a very high standard coupled with being the only lodge on the site with both front decking & back patio areas makes this a very popular lodge with guests. It has the best direct views over the lawned gardens to the front and out over the sea to Lundy Island and has direct access to, the Westward Ho! 'Blue Flag' awarded beach and is just a few minutes walk from Westward Ho village center with local entertainment, shops, cafes and bars. It is a spacious three bedroom Surf Lodge, with fabulous views and sounds over Bideford Bay.

Enjoy glorious sea views, lovely cliff top walks, cycling, golfing, surfing, paddle boarding, sea and coarse angling or just enjoy yourself on the two miles of sandy beach that Westward Ho! has to offer.

The lodge consists of one double bedroom, one twin bedroom, and a children's bunk room. There is a fully equipped kitchen, comfortable open plan living room with television, dvd player and stunning views from the window, sofas and dining table. The bathroom consists of a shower cubicle and wash basin. There is also separate toilet.

The chalet has outside seating areas at the front and rear, the rear is a great sun trap if it is windy at the front. This is the only chalet on the site with two outside spaces.

On site facilities include a staffed reception, and laundry. The chalet and site is wheelchair friendly. Great for children, with large grass areas for play right outside the chalet. Fabulous rock pools and beach only 2 minutes walk.

Getting around

A car is recommended if you want to explore the local area, alternatively there are buses running from Westward Ho! (Stagecoach Route 21) to Bideford, Barnstaple & Ilfracombe or local taxis or you can just spend the week exploring the village with its numerous shops, cafes and restaurants, local entertainment, beach, rockpools, Coast Paths and Northam Burrows.

This surf Lodge is brilliant it's wonderfully situated for all amenities in Westward Ho! It has far reaching views over Bideford Bay and is very comfortable and spacious we spent 4 nights of our honeymoon there and loved it would highly recommend to anyone.

We had a great weekend in Sarah’s lovely chalet. It had everything we needed for our holiday with two small children. The chalet was warm and cosy on a very windy weekend. It was brilliantly located right on the prom. We had fun on the beach, watching the rabbits on the lawn and sheltering from the wind and rain in the chalet! We had an incident with a wobbly shelf, but Sarah was really quick to respond; she was a great host. I’d definitely recommend, we felt we got really good value for money for an out of season weekend break.

Great little place, in a great location! Sarah was super helpful and responded to out last minute request really quickly! Chalet has everything you need! Only downside for us were the beds (but my hubby and I are super picky when it comes to beds). We will be back for another short break!

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.

How do I edit my booking?

You can request to change the dates or number of people on your booking via the Manage your holiday booking page. To change your holiday dates use the Edit booking button. If you need to change the number of guests staying then send Sarah (the owner) a message.

If Sarah (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
