From the manager

The Lodge is a new property built in 2017 and completed in 2018. It has three en-suite double bedrooms each with a TV and tub chairs and is suitable for families or couples. There is an upstairs balcony accessed from the landing.

It has a utility room and family bathroom / WC downstairs with a Jacuzzi bath and shower. It is largely open plan downstairs with under-floor heating and plenty of space for sofas, dining area, kitchen area with breakfast bar, dishwasher, main fridge / freezer and a drinks fridge. The living area has a 50 inch TV.

Patio doors lead onto a decking area with outside table and chairs and a six person hot tub. Private garden. As of winter 2017/18 the landscaping around the lodge has yet to be completed - this is work in progress. The Lodge is located at Broomfields Farm in Whitby which is within walking distance of the town centre (25 minutes or 3 minutes by car), two local pubs, Sainsburys supermarket and a bakery. The property is adjacent to The Cinder Path which is the old railway line from Whitby to Robin Hoods Bay and is now a walking and cycle path. Other footpaths lead directly into the North York Moors National Park.

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.

How do I edit my booking?

You can request to change the dates or number of people on your booking via the Manage your holiday booking page. To change your holiday dates use the Edit booking button. If you need to change the number of guests staying then send the property manager a message.

If the property manager agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
