Sandy Soles - No.8 at Widemouth Bay Holiday Village is a recently refurbished holiday home perfect for a family beach holiday exploring North Cornwall and Devon, or for a walking holiday with or without your dog.

It is a 5 min drive to the fabulous local beaches or you can walk on a path from the site (15 mins). Widemouth Bay beach retained its Blue Flag status & has a Seaside Award. It is an excellent surfing and body boarding beach and surfing lessons are available. There is also a great expanse of sand and extensive rock pools to explore. It is also ideally situated for walking the South West coast path.

There are many good restaurants locally, for either a pub lunch with a view, classic afternoon scones with Cornish clotted cream, fish and chips to take to the beach, or a gourmet dinner .

Bude is 10 mins drive with its two beaches - Crooklets is Blue Flag & both Crooklets & Summerleaze have Seaside Awards. There is also the outdoor sea pool, canal walks, and outdoor activities such as coasteering & paddle boarding. For indoor entertainment you can go to Splash swimming pool with slide & wave machine, tenpin bowling, shops & restaurants.

In the chalet the pleasant lounge has a TV and DVD player and looks out onto the grassed area where you can sit out with a cuppa or glass of something chilled! There are a few beach toys, jigsaws and games provided to use during your stay.

There are 2 bedrooms. The main bedroom has a comfortable double bed with sea view (2nd row, see photos). The second bedroom has 2 full-size single beds so suitable for adults or children. Bed linen provided.

The open plan kitchen and living area is well appointed with everything you need inc.microwave, oven, toaster, kettle.

The bathroom has a bath, waterfall shower over the bath, and a heated towel rail.

All electricity and water is included in the price quoted.

The Holiday Village indoor swimming pool is NOW OPEN after extensive refurbishment. The on-site bar is perfect for watching the fabulous sunsets. Free wi-fi available. There is a tennis court with rackets available to borrow from the bar. There is also a laundrette on-site.

Cars are parked in the car-park so the village is very safe for children to play. There are trolleys available to help with luggage to the chalet.

A maximum of 2 dogs are allowed in the chalet. There is a £20 charge per booking for a dog which will be added on to your quote.

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.

Go to Manage your holiday booking to cancel your booking. Here you can view your cancellation policy to see if you’ll be refunded.

How do I edit my booking?

You can request to change the dates or number of people on your booking via the Manage your holiday booking page. To change your holiday dates use the Edit booking button. If you need to change the number of guests staying then send Margaret (the owner) a message.

If Margaret (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
