Description from owner

Description

A luxury cottage-style Farmhouse located in The Peak Distrcit National Park with breathtaking, panoramic views of The Cheshire Matterhorn (Shuttlinsloe). It is perfect for both families and groups that are looking for an 'escape to the country' experience. The farmhouse is very comfortable, spacious and well equipped,, and there is a view from every window. There are pubs very close by serving excellent food. Along with footpaths on the doorstep. The stunnning Chatsworth House is just 35 minutes by car, and a stop off at the market towns of both Buxton and Bakewell is a must. Equally, travellers will fall in love with the beautiful limestone and gritstone cottages that are in abundance in the 'oh-so friendly' Peak District villages.

The accommodation includes:

On the Ground Floor:

A large family room with lots of sofas, a double-sided woodburing stove and TV./DVD player. There are french windows that lead out onto a terrace with seating and lighting.

On the Ground Floor:

A large family room with lots of sofas, a double-sided woodburing stove and TV./DVD player. There are french windows that lead out onto a terrace with seating and lighting.

A separate reception room for reading, watching TV or a teenager's escape? This room has a Scandinavian Innovation sofabed, which is a full double with a sprung mattress and slatted base.

A large, cosy kitchen with dining for ten. There is a fabulous Rangemaster Induction range cooker, so useful for cooking a meal for ten people. Two fridges, a dishwasher and lots of storage.

There is also a laundry with a washer/dryer, freezer and WC. This room is perfect for setting down all of your outdoor gear!

On the Upper Floor:

A king size bed in an ensuite room which has a large shower enclosure.

A double bed in an ensuite room which has an equally large shower enclosure.

A king size bed in a third bedroom, and a double bed in a fourth bedroom. These two bedrooms are served by a very large, delightful bathroom with has both a large shower enclosure and a slipper bath.

The house is over 200 squared metres, so there's plenty of space. Outside there is a very large garden/paddock for games or just sitting. Along with several terraced areas.

Location description from owner

The England region

The house is siuated in a truly wonderful location. It stands at around 300 metres above sea level, and is sheltered by the sorrounding hills. Whether it is sunny or cloudy, the landscape never disappoints, and can be described as evocative. The 'Cheshire Matterhorn' can be seen from the North facing windows. Ever-changing ancient moorland, and Crag Hall lie to the North East, and The Roaches to the South East.

The farmhouse is both contemorary and modern in its style. It is safely located on a hillside away from busy main roads, but a 2 minute drive will get you back on the road to your next adventure in The Peak District.

Wincle

The Farmhouse is located in arguably the most beautiful, and relatively undiscovered area of The Peak District. There are glorious views from every window, in particular The Cheshire Matterhorn (Shuttlinsloe), The Roaches, Ancient moorland and grazing land. There are country pubs very close by serving excellent food. Along with footpaths on the doorstep. The South West Peak District is notorious for its lush green landscape and is undulating in its nature.

Interaction with guest

Melany and Simon are both keen outdoor enthusiasts. We have four grown up children and have always lived in or near the Peak District. We love to meet new people and share a passion for renting houses in beautiful locations. We adore our holidays in the Outer Hebrides with our children. We have been inspired by our holidays and have tried to incorporate this inspiration into this beautiful farmhouse.
