From the manager

This wonderfully remote converted Exmoor barn near Exford can sleep eight people in four bedrooms.Nethercote Byre is a wonderfully remote converted barn three miles from Exford in the centre of Exmoor. The cottage sleeps eight people in four bedrooms, a double and three twin rooms sharing two family bathrooms. On the ground floor is a kitchen with dining area and door to garden, a sitting room with wood burning stove and a playroom. Outside is a private enclosed courtyard with table and chairs, parking for three cars and you are welcome to wander and explore the owner's surrounding land. Nethercote Byre is a comfortable and relaxed spot, ideal for nature watching, walking and leaving modern life behind.

Amenities: Central heating with wood burning stove. Microwave, fridge-freezer, washer-dryer, dishwasher, TV with DVD, Fibre Optic Broadband, WiFi, Phone, Fuel and power inc. in rent. Bed linen and towels inc. in rent. Cot and highchair available on request, Off road parking for three cars. Enclosed courtyard garden. Two well-behaved dogs welcome. Sorry no smoking.

Note: This house is approached over 1¾ miles of rough hardcore track, best for 4x4s or sturdy cars, Much regret inconvenience caused by the state of the track, the property land had recently had a major Tree Planting operation within the valley but work on the track is scheduled and with any luck improvements will soon be made, Best to drive slowly and avoid the low-slung cars, and for safety reasons too, please keep speed down!

Note: This property has a private water supply which is tested regularly.

Region: Somerset offers 3 areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty - the Quantock, Mendip and Blackdown Hills. Lose yourself in the glory of nature, take a ride on a steam train, visit a traditional farmer's market or explore your mystical side at Glastonbury.

Town: The picturesque village of Exford is situated in the heart of the Exmoor National Park. In a lovely setting by the River Exe, Exford boasts a village green, tea rooms, a shop, Post Office and two traditional inns serving excellent food and drinks
