Westbeach One is a self-catering studio apartment located in the heart of Woolacombe Bay. From the property's central location, Woolacombe beach is just 1 minute away!

The location is quiet and peaceful during the winter, yet central to the seaside atmosphere and night life during the summer. The main facilities of larger towns such as Ilfracombe and Braunton are just 15 minutes away.

Westbeach One enjoys easy access to all amenities, including several centres for outdoor activities such as climbing and horse riding. For those interested in more leisurely pursuits, the walks along the coastal path are hard to beat.

The local restaurants offer excellent choices of casual and formal dining for those occasions when you'd rather someone else does the catering.

Inside the apartment, the living room forms a focal point for entertainment on days in. Lounge around on the armchair or 2-seater sofa and make use of the speaker dock for some relaxing music. Alternatively you can settle down in front of the TV and smart Blu-ray player to catch the shows you can't live without. Free wi-fi means you can catch up on all-important social media or work emails (if you must) while you enjoy your break.

The living space leads to the kitchen via the breakfast bar where you can enjoy relaxed meals.

With one double bed and a single sofa bed, Westbeach One is ideal for couples and small families, with plenty in the surrounding area to see and do during your stay.

With regards to staying with kids, please bear the following in mind:

1. There's no bath.
2. Since it's a studio the sleep pattern can be tricky.
3. Some of the furniture has unprotected corners.
4. There are no baby locks on the kitchen cupboards.
5. The parking space is about 100m up the hill. Loading and unloading might take some time.
6. Westbeach One is close to the nightlife of Woolacombe. It can sometimes become noisy in the summer.

We are sorry to hear that you had this experience at our apartment. Having spoken with the management company, it sounds they were unsure how to intervene once they received your text messages since neither we, nor they, manage the apartment next door. I'm not sure what they could have done but we completely understand how it didn't help matters. We ourselves were staying in Bournemouth over the same weekend and experienced similar late night noise. It was far higher than normal and we suspect it was related to the European Champions football game on Saturday night. The main point being that we can sympathise with your experience, having had the same ourselves in another part of the country. We have messaged the owner of the neighbouring flat to inform them of their guests' behaviour. There's little that they (or we) will be able to do about it retrospectively but we have now formed a Whatsapp group within the building that allows all apartment owners to communicate in realtime about problems with guests. We hope this would help us nip problems like this in the bud if they happen in the future. We hope this won't put you off travelling to Woolacombe in the future - it truly is a splendid beach!

Thank you for your review. We agree, it's a great location for the centre of Woolacombe and quick access to the beach! We're glad you found it a comfortable fit for you both. Unfortunately this does mean that the nightclub revellers can be noisier than we'd like when they're passing through. We also appreciate your comments about the outer door and have asked the building management company to take care of it, which they should be doing soon.

Why can't I call Mitt and Claire (the owner) before booking?

You can exchange contact details with the property owner/manager once your booking is confirmed and you’ve paid in full. Paying and communicating only through our platform allows us to ensure that your booking is covered by our Payment Protection policy.

If you have any questions before booking, you can send the property owner/manager a message via the contact form on their listing. Once you’ve booked, you can discuss the rental and make arrangements for your trip by logging into Manage my booking.

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.

How do I pay the balance of my holiday?

You can pay the remaining balance of your holiday at any point. Simply go to Manage my holiday booking and click Pay now.

How can I retract my booking request?

You’ll need to contact Mitt and Claire (the owner) to do this. Send them a message in Manage your holiday booking or through the contact form on this page.

How do I cancel my booking?

Go to Manage your holiday booking to cancel your booking. Here you can view your cancellation policy to see if you’ll be refunded.

How do I edit my booking?

You can request to change the dates or number of people on your booking via the Manage your holiday booking page. To change your holiday dates use the Edit booking button. If you need to change the number of guests staying then send Mitt and Claire (the owner) a message.

If Mitt and Claire (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
