Forge Cottage is situated in the idyllic village of Wootton Courtenay, one of the most desirable locations in Exmoor due to its warm micro-climate and sheltered position. The cottage has been converted from a barn which used to be the Old Forge, and now offers comfortable and spacious holiday accommodation for 2 or 3 guests.

Downstairs there is an open-plan living area comprised of a good sized lounge with wood-effect electric stove, and dining and kitchen area. Upstairs is the large bedroom with King-sized double bed and a single bed. The bathroom has a large shower, hand basin and toilet.

There is a carport for parking your car under cover, just to the side of the cottage. The village shop is a short walk away and numerous stunning walks over the moors and through woodlands are literally on the doorstep, including the Macmillan Way which passes by.

Forge Cottage kitchen is well-equipped and fitted with fridge, freezer, microwave, electric oven and hob. Other equipment includes toaster, kettle, a variety of kitchen utensils, cutlery, crockery and glasses. A television (with Freeview), DVD player and iPod docking station is provided in the living room. The cottage has limited access to the internet.

Forge Cottage is fitted with oil-fired central heating throughout which can be adjusted to suit your preferences. Heating and electricity is included in the price of the accommodation.

Bed linen, duvets, blankets and towels are provided for your convenience, but please bring your own beach towels if you wish to take towels with you on day trips. Tea, coffee, sugar, milk and biscuits are provided to ensure you can have a hot drink as soon as you arrive. There may also be other non-perishable items like salt, pepper, oil and a few herbs or spices available.

Cleaning materials such as washing up liquid and surface cleaner will be present in the property. One or two toilet rolls will be provided.

There is a small patio with garden bench, which is south facing and sunny. The village roads runs to the front of the cottage, this is not a busy road but please take care when exiting the property. There is off-road and undercover parking for one car directly beside the property.

Dogs are welcome by prior arrangement (maximum of 2). A supplementary fee of £15 will be added to your invoice. Please do not allow your dogs on the furniture or upstairs and do not leave them alone in the property at any time. This property is strictly non-smoking.

The cottage was warm and comfortable,some outside space would have been a bonus,.

. In our short stay we were made to feel very welcome in Wooton Courtney, we enjoyed the dog show and a game of croquet. Walks from the cottage were beautiful and varied,and apart from Dunster there… More

Lovely accommodation. SUPER location and wonderful hosts. We could not have wished for a better place to stay, so close to all amenities. The only disappointment was it's own village pub :)
