Cleveland's Country House is fabulous self-catering accommodation, tastefully decorated and extremely well equipped. Relaxed atmosphere, a true home from home experience. In autumn/winter we prefer no more than 8 guests in the house due to limitations with dining room.

The grand entrance hall of the country house leads into the elegant lounge cosy warm fire in winter months. Imagine summer alfresco dining, BBQ's, soaking up the sunshine. Relaxing with a glass in hand, after a long day of fresh air, whether you have been hiking, cycling or pursuing other activities around the island.

Please note the dining room seats 8-10 people, it's cosy (no window) has fabulous artwork and lighting. The kitchen has plenty of workspace, window seats make it easy for friends to prep and chat whilst dinner is on the go.

An elegant staircase takes you up to the first floor. Off the spacious landing are the two super king bedrooms with a fabulous Downs views, also the king bedroom. These guest bed room's share the luxurious, tiled bathroom which has a walk in shower and whirlpool spa bath.

There is a small family suite (bedrooms 4&5) which share a shower room. Bedroom 5 the twin room is accessed via Bedroom 4 the double bedroom, making this perfect for a family unit.

The house can sleep a maximum of 10 guests (inclusive of all adults, children and infants). We can accommodate two babies/infants, however due to fire regulations these little guests are included in overall maximum guest numbers. Travel cots are available.

Please do not invite additional guests or visitors to the house. Only those guests included in the booking are allowed on the property. This is non negotiable due to fire regulations and liability/ property insurance. There are two separate one bed apartments onsite which can be booked ahead if more guests need to be accommodated.

This venue is ideal for large families, groups of friends or a couple of families. Fabulous location for walkers, hikers and cyclists minutes away from the trails. A short drive to several island popular beaches of Shanklin and Ventnor.

Access to the property is down a single country track & unmade lane, so drive slowly and take care.

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.

How do I edit my booking?

You can request to change the dates or number of people on your booking via the Manage your holiday booking page. To change your holiday dates use the Edit booking button. If you need to change the number of guests staying then send Marie (the owner) a message.

If Marie (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
