From the owner

Woodland Cottage is a stunning four bedroom property overlooking the sea and set in well over an acre of it's own private woodland on the west coast of the Isle of Wight. The property is incredibly tranquil and secluded.

The master bedroom has a very spacious wooden decked balcony with fabulous sea views over the Solent, as well as it's own en-suite bathroom. The second double room also has sea views, and the twin room, and the single/twin room downstairs overlook the woodlands to the rear. The double beds are king size, all the beds have high quality 'pocket sprung' mattresses.

The kitchen features an American style fridge-freezer with chilled water and ice dispenser, as well as a dishwasher, microwave oven, washing machine, etc. The spacious kitchen opens out to the dining room which has sliding doors to the garden and the woodlands.

The living room has a modern wood burning stove, and a smart TV/DVD player with Freeview/iPlayer. There is high speed broadband and wifi in the cottage.

There are three bathrooms/shower rooms in the property - one downstairs, one family bathroom with shower/bath combo, and one ensuite with walk in shower. All three have mirrors with integrated lighting.

There is a large garden at the front of the cottage, which leads on to a larger communal green/playing area, and also to the private (fully enclosed) woodland. There is a slide and a trampoline (with side netting) in the woods.

Woodland Cottage has a dedicated parking spot, and additional free parking is available at the nearby fort about 100 meters away.

We've been holidaying since we were children, as have our parents before us, and even our grandparents had a little wooden holiday hut at nearby Colwell Beach. We know and love the area very well, and would be delighted to answer any queries you have or make any recommendations. A couple of weeks before your arrival we will send you a welcome pack of suggestions of our favourite restaurants at the moment, and the best things to do in the area. If we're not in the area at the time of your visit, definitely someone from our family will be, and will be happy to help you.

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.

You can request to change the dates or number of people on your booking via the Manage your holiday booking page. To change your holiday dates use the Edit booking button. If you need to change the number of guests staying then send Natasha (the owner) a message.

If Natasha (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
