ARE YOU LOOKING FOR A PLACE 'TO GET AWAY FROM IT ALL'? LOOK NO FURTHER... YOU HAVE FOUND IT!
Our Pacific oceanfront Casa de Armonia (House of Harmony) is located in one of the most beautiful unique CAR FREE! places one can still find on Earth.Yelapa, Mexico.
Yelapa is accessible only by a 45 minute boat (water taxi) ride from the Los Muertos pier in Puerto Vallarta (Airport code: PVR). Yelapa has several waterfalls, one right in the village the other 'up river' behind the main beach.
Our Casa de Armonía (Spanish for House of Harmony) is nestled harmoniously into the jungle right on Banderas Bay where if you like can catch your fish dinner right from the rocks.
Casa de Armonía is ideal for anyone who loves undisturbed nature, doesn't mind a little walk, enjoys peace and quiet living which especially writers and/or artists will enjoy.
Wildlife is abundant at the point. There are more than 155 different species of birds alone... And you can see whales, dolphins and manta rays right from your living room chair or hanging bamboo sofa!
Casa de Armonía's 'old' Yelapa style palapa roof, hanging bamboo bed (sleeps 2) in the tapanco (upstairs), and hanging bamboo sofa downstairs, combined with the conveniences that 'city houses' offer, like big refrigerator, 6-burner stove and washing machine and Yelapa wifi high speed Internet! make this oceanfront jungle house so unique.
Once you get settled in if you desire so, we can arrange any tours like a trip to the Marietta Islands, fishing, snorkeling and diving trips as well as horseback riding to the Yelapa upper waterfalls.
How to get to Yelapa:
First: Please be advised we do NOT have ATM's in Yelapa. Get Pesos from the SANTANDER BANK ATM at the airport. Decline their conversion rate so you get the better rate from your bank.
From Puerto Vallarta airport (airport code: PVR): Take the taxi not the airport taxi by going over the bridge on the left when you get out of the airport to the bottom of the other side where you find less expensive taxis. If your plane gets in late in the afternoon you can take the taxi all the way to Boca de Tomatlan to board the water taxi from there. Leaving every hour last water taxi 6:30 pm. Or tell the driver to take you to the Los Muertos pier to take a water taxi to Yelapa. Round-trip ticket costs 450 Pesos per person. Water taxis leave 10 am, 1 pm, 3 pm and 5 pm. Get off at the pier by Cafe Bahia in the Pueblo where we will pick you up. Please tell us in advance whether you need your luggage to be carried to the house which I highly recommend.
By the way we have the best natural water source you still can find on Earth! It comes from 2 miles up the jungle mountain natural spring! (We do use water filter at the house of course) You will taste the difference!
