From the owner

We offer a lovely cosy bungalow, with a retro theme!. It is just 1.5 miles from the iconic historical city centre of York, which is just perfect for holiday, a short stay or a weekend. It will take you 25minutes if you walk to the centre of York, or a £5.00 taxi ride. There is in addition, a public bus that arrives and leaves from the next road every 10 minutes, this will take you to and from the city and its railway station.

The property offers 2 bedrooms, one with a king size bed and the second has 2 single beds. These are all adorned with beautiful quality linen and warm and cosy duvets. There is a spacious kitchen diner that provides a full electric oven, microwave, and washing machine (the washing machine is housed in the utility porch area). The lounge area is cosy and comfortable with a television for your leisure. The family bathroom has a a bath and a shower. There is a good sized garden to the rear, where you will find a summer house with patio table and chairs, as well as a barbecue and external picnic style seating area. Wifi facilities are also available free of charge.

The property is more suited to accommodate children over 4 years of age.

We do not permit smoking at the property either in the house or garden area.

The location of the property is situated 1 mile from the university and 1/2 mile from the A64 road, that spans between the east coast and Leeds City Centre.

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.

Go to Manage your holiday booking to view all your booking details, pay the balance of your holiday or cancel it if you need to.

How do I pay the balance of my holiday?

You can pay the remaining balance of your holiday at any point. Simply go to Manage my holiday booking and click Pay now.

We’ll automatically charge the balance payment to the same payment method 10 days before it’s due. Go to Manage my holiday booking to see when the payment will be taken.

How can I retract my booking request?

You’ll need to contact John/ Lorraine (the owner) to do this. Send them a message in Manage your holiday booking or through the contact form on this page.

How do I cancel my booking?

Go to Manage your holiday booking to cancel your booking. Here you can view your cancellation policy to see if you’ll be refunded.

How do I edit my booking?

You can request to change the dates or number of people on your booking via the Manage your holiday booking page. To change your holiday dates use the Edit booking button. If you need to change the number of guests staying then send John/ Lorraine (the owner) a message.

If John/ Lorraine (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
