Zorans vacation house is located in a small village called Zaton close to the sea and yet in a very quiet neighborhood. In 2 bedrooms it accommodates 4 guests and has a sofa in the living room which can be turned into a bed to accommodate 2 additional guests.
The maximum number of guests that we can accommodate is 6.
By car it will take you only 10 minutes to get to Dubrovnik and you can also take one of the numerous buses (there is a regular local bus line every hour).
The bay has several beautiful beaches that are in walking distance from the house.
Zorans house is one of 4 vacation houses in a row located in a quite part of the village. In the backyard a fire-place under the olive tree temps the visitor to grill delicious barbecues. The house itself consists of an entrance hall, the kitchen, bathroom with toilet, air conditioned living room with sofa bed and two bedrooms on the top floor. There is a terrace on both floors, the one on the ground floor is very cozy and serves as a second living room with a table for 6 overlooking the bay of Zaton.
In case you don't feel like sitting on your house terrace, please feel free to go down the stairs to the front yard where you will find another lovely private, sheltered terrace ideal for afternoon naps :)
The kitchen is eqipped with an oven, toaster, kettle, filter coffee machine, fridge and freezer.
The living room houses a dining table and chairs, a sofa, TV and a Playstation 3
As your host I will be at your disposal during your stay. I live nearby and will be there upon your arrival to greet you and show you around the house and the village and will be more than glad to show you the best places around such as beaches, restaurants, bars and other places of interest. I know the region pretty well and it will be my pleasure to give my recommendations for sight seeings.
Zaton means a bay or a cove so it is well protected from winds coming from the open sea. My house is located in Zaton Veliki.
This little oasis of peace is located only 8 km from Dubrovnik and is reachable from the City by a regular bus service, the ride taking around 15 minutes.
A unique promenade, a few kilometres long, divides the bay into two places, Zaton Mali and Zaton Veliki (Small and Big Zaton).
Zaton Veliki (big bay) is a place with excellent restaurants offering local and international specialties, small waterfront coffee shops and bars, post office, supermarket, bakery, beautiful beaches and promenades.
There are few beaches, among others a lovely pebbled beach in the very center of Zaton.
The end of path next to the sea marks the entrance to a small pine tree forest. Walking through the forest path leads to many hidden places with amazing landscape. The play of nature gets more interesting when you continue walking deeper into the forest. The sea in this area is clean as in most of Adriatic.
A nice and quiet weather circulates over this place non-stop. It reflects its quiet aspect especially in the evening when the moon reflects on the sea surface.
Zaton Mali (small bay) has restaurants, a camping place and two more grocery stores.
What you will not find in Zaton are large hotels and crowds, so if you are looking for a place to relax, you will certainly be delighted with Zaton.
There is a regular bus line every 1 hour from the village to Dubrovnik. the drive is around 10-15 mintes long depending on time of day and season.
You will be given the bus timetable upon your arrival and as well a map of the area. I certainly stay at your disposal for any additional transfers you may require - please let me know if you need arrival and departure transfers.
guests staying 7 days or more with a valid boat license are allowed to use my boat with outboard engine free of charge :)
