I have very disappointed to read this review especially as it is so far removed from every other review that we have had on this or any other site. Let me address some points in turn... We find that guests prefer to have their beds made for their arrival, rather than having to make your own. If you had asked the housekeeper for another bed to be made up, she would have done gladly. We have never had anything but glowing comments about her helpfulness and eagerness to ensure all holiday-makers have a fantastic stay. We have had previously only had 5* comments about the cleanliness of the villa and the pool, and about the furniture and how well appointed the villa is. I can assure you if there were any broken items, they were broken by the previous guests and not reported. Please let us know what these were and we will ensure they are fixed ASAP. Virtually everything is provided in the villa from the kitchen equipment, towels, tea towels, air-conditioning, hairdryer, dishwasher, washing machine etc. I’m struggling to imagine what you meant with ‘bring everything with you’. It’s probably true that you only got 1 rubbish bag to get you started - but the assumption being as the villa is self-catering, you would expect to provide your own on-going consumables (along with food, shampoo etc). There are most definitely no over grown plants in the seating area. There is a beautiful display of oleander round the edge of the patio. Most people see this as a feature, it’s a shame you don’t see it in the same way. Finally to location, the villa is on the edge of a village - not in isolated countryside - but as the description says... on the edge of a village. There are obviously neighbours, but the villas are positioned to ensure as much privacy as possible. Specifically: - To the west - there are no neighbours for about 1km - To the north - the villa is between the pool/garden and any neighbours (who are on the other side of a road and then have a ~10 foot high hedge around their property) - To the south - there is a villa. Their pool and garden is located behind their house (away from our villa). Aside from their front wooden door, they have nothing that looks towards the villa. - To the east - on the other side of a small road, there is another villa. Again, there is a min 6 foot high hedge on each side, and their pool / garden lies the east of their house (away from our villa). Hopefully but showing the detail and reading the other reviews, guests can make up their own opinion about what the villa is really like. I am 100% sure that no previous or future guests would recognise the villa from this review.

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.

If Jennifer (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
