Spacious 5 bedroom staffed accommodation in Schuttdorf, Zell am See in the beautiful Austrian Alps. Relax in our spacious lounge or private garden during the hot summer months, or ease tired muscles in our traditional sauna during the snowy winter. Chalet Gretl is the perfect base for your Austrian holiday of a lifetime.

- 10 minute walk to the lake shore and swimming areas

- Located within walking distance to the Schmittenhohe mountain and Areitbahn ski station.

- Chalet Gretl is luxuriously equipped with facilities for all the family including a 7/8 person sauna Open Dec-Apr(Closed May-Nov).

- Local laws stipulate that residents are quiet daily between 10pm-7am and 1-2pm, and all day on a Sunday.

Chalet Gretl was bought by a family who got tired of the typical high prices & low standards of holiday hotels, chalets and apartments.

We are all keen skiers (downhill and cross-country), road and mountain bikers, runners, skaters and walkers. Any details you require regarding your particular activity, ski conditions etc we will do our best to provide. Our aim is to make your holiday as comfortable, pleasurable and easy as possible, allowing you to just relax and enjoy yourselves, knowing that at the end of a tough day on the slopes, (or golf course or bike trails etc), you are coming back to your own luxury chalet.

We love it here and I'm sure you will too.

Bed 1: Master Bedroom located on the first floor, with 'Austrian twin' beds (a very large double bed incorporating 2 individual mattresses). Patio door to balcony overlooking the garden and with views of the mountains.

Bed 3: Located on the first floor. Twin beds with wash basin. Patio door to balcony to the rear of the chalet overlooking the garden and with views of the mountains.

Bed 4: Located on the second floor. Twin beds plus en-suite shower/wc/basin.

Bed 5: Family Room located on the second floor. Twin beds and full size bunk beds plus en-suite shower/wc/basin.

Bathrooms: There is a first floor bathroom with bath, separate shower cubicle, basin and bidet. W/C's on the ground and first floor.

Lounge: Comprises luxury furnishings, 12 person leather sofa, flat screen cable/sat TV, DVD player, Hi-Fi, wireless internet access, patio doors to balcony.

Dining Room: The fabulous inlaid veneer table seats dining for 12. High chairs are also available on request.

Outside: Garden, sun terrace, off-street parking. Balconies for all first floor bedrooms.

General: Wireless internet access in lounge, telephone, sauna (Open Dec-Apr), all linen and towels provided.

Local laws stipulate quiet time between 10pm-8am daily and 1additionally 2-1pm on a Sunday, please respect these. To be environmentally friendly please turn off all lights, appliances and taps when not in use. The heating is pre-set and so please do not try to re-set it yourself as this could cause damage to the boiler. Please do not attempt to re-plumb any item.

Why can't I call Rhodri (the owner) before booking?

You can exchange contact details with the property owner/manager once your booking is confirmed and you’ve paid in full. Paying and communicating only through our platform allows us to ensure that your booking is covered by our Payment Protection policy.

If you have any questions before booking, you can send the property owner/manager a message via the contact form on their listing. Once you’ve booked, you can discuss the rental and make arrangements for your trip by logging into Manage my booking.

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.

How do I cancel my booking?

Go to Manage your holiday booking to cancel your booking. Here you can view your cancellation policy to see if you’ll be refunded.

How do I edit my booking?

You can request to change the dates or number of people on your booking via the Manage your holiday booking page. To change your holiday dates use the Edit booking button. If you need to change the number of guests staying then send Rhodri (the owner) a message.

If Rhodri (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
