Thank you for your review and we have noted and actioned some of your your comments. The dripping shower you unfortunately experienced had only started during your stay and we have since had the shower valve overhauled and fixed. It is always advisable to leave the bathroom window open during a shower as the extractor fan will not remove the condensation fast enough to prevent steaming of the room. The operation of the patio door lock is explained in the welcoming pack and if not followed as described the lock will not correctly operate. We replaced the previous Sofa two seasons ago with the current one, it is always difficult to find sofas that suits everyone's taste, however we appreciate it is a little low for those that prefer something more upright. We do our best to appease most tastes but do not always succeed. We do hope to welcome you back again soon and thank you again for your honest review..

Dear Holidaymaker, Thank you for your surprise review, your 5 star rating and willingness to recommend Paradise Villa to your friends. The Cleaners you praised, reported no complaints from you when they attended the property at the beginning and the end of your holiday. As the Owner, Paradise Villa is my second home. However, one can normally expect one negative reviewer a year. whilst I have personally received many positive comments from holidaymakers during their stays at the property. Paradise Villa has been let to hundreds of satisfied holidaymakers since 1999 and is regularly maintained and cleaned throughout the year. I have noted all the issues raised by this holidaymaker, despite the contradictions. Whilst I dispute the conclusions and assumptions made by the holdaymaker. I would like to take this opportunity to add the following. The Patio doors have since been replaced owing to vandalism on the glass door partitions. Rarely are Property Security Deposits retained by the Agents, and are refunded in full. There is no paraffin smell in the ensuite bathroom or the property. The shower curtains are changed every year. The ensuite bedroom mattress is thick and very comfortable, as sleep is very important when holidaymakers stay. The ensuite bedroom curtains are not 'past it'. Paradise Villa is not externally run down, having been repainted earlier in the year, with the bedroom balcony railings due for repainting. The patio furniture is subject to a Marine environment and not dirty. The ensuite bathroom door will close, if closed properly. The twin bedroom 2 is not crammed and dark, as can be seen from the website photograph. The twin bedroom door can be opened and closed in front of the twin beds. There is ventilation in the upstairs landing toilet, with vents in the entry door and inside loft door. The toilet holder has a small crack in the ceramic fitting and is not broken.

Thanks for your review of West Lane Cottage. The Thimble Inn has a new landlord (chef) and landlady with effect from late March 2012 and we visited for Sunday lunch on April 1st. A small menu but we tasted a good range between us and all was obviously fresh, home made and delicious. The chef told us that the only thing that had come out of the freezer was our ice and that all that could be home made, would be, and the menu certainly reflects this with homemade bread and brioche, and home cured salmon evident on the Sunday lunch menu. There was also a good smattering of locals in who proclaimed the new residents most welcome and friendly and we agree!
Rectory Road is a small road at right angles to the B314, the High Street running through the village. We do get some farm traffic (especially at harvest time) and some commuters. There is a 30 mph speed restriction, the cottage is double glazed throughout and very few people comment on the traffic. However, if holidaymakers feel that a peaceful lie in is particularly important to them, we would suggest our sister cottage Wren Cottage, Tolpuddle which is beautifully quiet and also offers a countryside view from the bedrooms!
