Family farm stays allow the whole family to sample life on a real working farm, as much or as little as you want. The owners will be happy for you and the children to get your hands dirty and help out by feeding the animals. Many of the farms have resident lambs and chickens, and some the odd reindeer, ostrich or llama.


Springtime is a great time of year for family farm stays – as the weather improves the farm really starts to wake up. If there are lambs, from late March you can help out by bottle feeding the lambing seasons new additions. Check with the owner before you book.
