Response to negative feedback on TA
We were threatened with a negative review following our polite email regarding our guests allowing their 3 dogs upstairs in the cottage (despite our conditions stating that dogs must not be allowed upstairs). We would be willing to share the email we sent to our guests so that potential guests can read for themselves and be assured that pets are very welcome, just not upstairs and not in the beds!
We expect all guests, dog owners as well as those who do not have dogs, to stay in our cottages and not find hair floating around, especially upstairs in bedrooms. This is only possible if dog owners respect the conditions of bringing their pets into the cottage and all we ask is for animals not to be allowed upstairs at all (we provide stair gates) or on downstairs furniture. This is only the 2nd guest in 7 years that we have felt the need to email and explain this to. On the whole, dog owners are respectful and look after the cottages impeccably. We did not ask for further payment and we were not rude in our email. It is a shame that any offence was taken and a threat of a negative review carried out.
