I am really pleased when I hear guests wanting to return. Most wish they had booked longer stays. I'm so pleased you were able to see the autumnal colours on the journey to the house, by coming at this time of year. It was phenomenal and I would've felt disappointed if I hadn't had guests that could see it. We had four bookings in this particular month though so perhaps it's more well known than I had thought.
Thank you for choosing to come and stay with us. Your booking is much appreciated.

Thank you for posting your review and I am very sorry that you had an unpleasant experience and that you felt that the house was not clean enough. Unfortunately your stay in May hit a very bad time for us - you joke that the cleaner must have died but in actual fact she was just recovering from a stroke at the time of your visit which is why she had not been able to remove the damp/mould from the outside walls in the two bathrooms and perhaps standards were not what they normally are. The mould has been removed. We have obviously taken on board all your comments with regard to the cracked windows, broken dartboards, stain (not poo I can certainly confirm) on one of the duvets and they have all been replaced. I have also bought a whole new set of cutlery, crockery, glasses and place mats, oven trays, dining chair cushions and the lounge chair covers have been washed. I accept that all this should have been done before your stay but we were away and as I said our cleaner was not at full strength.
I am slightly puzzled as to why the existence of a computer table/desk in the playroom was detrimental to your visit - I mean why would you possibly expect there to be a computer in a rustic holiday cottage? Nor bolts in the dining room chairs would you rather they fell apart? Also the toys that you complain about in the shed are all my daughters and we had previously left access to them as a bonus to tenants (who sadly have not left them as they were found), but as they caused you concern we have now locked them away.
I am very pleased to say that no one has complained about the cleanliness of the place since your stay so we must be back on track and I can only sincerely apologise for the unfortunate timing of your stay.
