Thank you for your comprehensive review - we are very pleased that the cottage provided you with the right accommodation for exploring this wonderful part of Galicia and equally pleased that you appreciated the facilities.
The small windows were of course traditionally built that way for centuries along with metre thick walls, to conserve heat in winter and keep the cottage pleasantly cool during the hot summer months. It was just a shame you didn't get to enjoy the normal good weather for June. Fortunately, this didn't seem to restrict your daily exploring!
Certainly our WI-Fi signal is not up to the optic fibre speeds one is used to in a city, but at around 2.5 Mb, we are fortunate that it is better than in much of rural Spain. We personally find that it generally works adequately for normal use. There was an improvement after installing a signal booster and the most recent visitors were certainly able to upload their holiday photos without problems!
As you say, the cottage is very well placed for visiting the numerous sights in the region and we were glad you found the road access to them so good. Of course, some of rural Galicia's narrow country lanes and village streets do provide quite a change for visitors but they also form a major part of the charm of the region, being designed for the age of the horse and cart or the donkey. However, what was most pleasing was to learn that our handbook proved to be of such benefit to you for your explorations.
We do thank you both for staying at the cottage and for your kind and helpful remarks - we are pleased you managed to enjoy yourselves so much and we really do hope that you'll visit us again.
