A magnificent authentic country villa located in the peaceful and welcoming surroundings of a traditional Douro village in the heart of the Douro Valley, just 80 minutes from Porto.

At Casa Castedo do Douro there is plenty to enjoy. The 12m x 6m (39ft x 19ft) private swimming pool, with a dedicated children’s area, is surrounded by 500 square metres of beautiful garden and green lawn where you can laze to the sounds of birdsong and the bells of the village church before taking a short stroll under the pergolas of ancient vines. If you prefer, you can relax in our peaceful lounge or simply sit and admire the beautiful landscape around the property.

Also provided for your comfort at the house, at no additional charge, is wi-fi access, satellite TV, a snooker table, hair dryer, iron, pool towels, barbecue, parking, heating, fully equipped kitchen, washing machine and safe box.

    How do damage deposits work?

    In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

    Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.

    If João Pedro (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
