Our Purple House Two is adjacent to Purple House One and can be rented alone or in conjunction with the other side. It has it's own large relaxation deck out front built over the water. The Purple House Two consists of two double bedrooms upstairs with airconditioners. There is a fully equipped kitchen and bathroom downstairs with a indoor dining are. Large doors open to your own private deck with couch and dining table as well as your own hammock and hammock chair.

We provide all linens, towels and organic soap in the bathroom. Beach towels can also be arranged on request. There is a safe inside to store your valuables and a storage room for your luggage. In addition, we have multiple kayaks on the property along with Standup Paddle Boards (SUP's), snorkeling gear and bicycles which are available for our guests to make use of free of charge.

Located in the local neighbourhood of Saigon, and within the Over The Water Rentals Property that consists of six houses. The Neighbourhood is rustic, friendly and a real look into how the locals live on the island. If you are looking for an authentic island living experience, then this is the ideal location for you.

Take a 20 minute walk into town, or a $1 taxi ride and you'll have all the hustle and bustle of Bocas Town, or enjoy the more relaxing atmosphere of Saigon bay with the lapping waves beneath you.

Our house is located right next door, so you are just easy shout out away, but each house has it's own deck for private relaxation. If you need help, we'll be available, but if you are looking to get away from it all, you'll hardly notice us at all.

Thank you, Michelle, for your review. Steve and I try our best to make sure that our guests are very comfortable and happy while staying with us. We appreciate that the local flavor of the neighborhood is not for everyone but for those looking for an authentic island experience who understand that third world living is more challenging and less serviced than first world, it helps to show the differences in culture and lifestyle and is embraced by many of our guests. Some of the downfalls of this is the garbage issue on the island and the rustic design of many of the homes. The advantages include learning how local communities can survive with far less and being accepted within that community even when we live a life of abundance in comparison. The private company who collect garbage on the island for a fee can be sporadic in their collection and the local families will leave their garbage outside of their houses waiting for it's collection. Many of the hospitality businesses in the bay support the local community with garbage cleanup and pay for it's collection and we make efforts to recycle all the garbage our guests produce and ask our guests to help us with that in an attempt to reduce our own personal footprint. Our Purple Houses are in fact a duplex with a shared wall and are located behind the Orange house. We don't state that they have a sea view, but are built over the water. The balcony is divided into two separate areas by plants and many of our guests have enjoyed the company of the other guests sharing the space, but some have not. We have very little control over the quality of restaurants and the beach sand or the number of people who frequent the beach. We do appreciate that our location and our houses are not going to be suitable for everyone, but many of our guests embrace the experience and leave us with a better understanding of life on the island. Steve and I really enjoyed your company and the many chats we had, so sorry that you didn't feel we could be recommended and wish you had mentioned it during your stay.

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.

If Marlin/Jeanne (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
