From the owner

This room is full of charm with all you need for a cosy and comfortable stay. It has pleasant views of the downs and pretty cottages. The room has its own sitting area in which to relax and enjoy a cup of tea or coffee.

Guests are more than welcome to relax in and enjoy our beautiful garden. We have a comfortable breakfast room which leads onto the veranda where breakfast can be taken on sunny mornings.

Ideal as a base for walking, cycling or touring, Brighstone is situated in the scenic, rural 'West Wight'. The coast, downs, and forest are all within walking distance as are a number of places to eat and drink.

Surrounded by glorious countryside, Brighstone is within an AONB (Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty). In addition, there are National Trust properties to visit such as Mottistone Manor and its gardens.

Also managed by the National Trust, the coastline is famous for its dinosaur fossils, geology and shipwrecks. We have lived on the Island for most of our lives and would enjoy advising and helping guests to plan their visit and make the most of their time here.

There is secure storage for bikes and ample off road parking. For guests arriving on foot and staying for a number of nights, we would be happy to collect from Newport bus station. There is a stop nearby and a bus service of about 6 buses per day in each direction.

Breakfast is provided in our breakfast room. A cooked breakfast is offered as well as yoghurt, fresh fruit, cereal, toast, preserves, fruit juice, tea and coffee. Vegetarians catered for.

We are unable to take children or pets, and no smoking is allowed in the house. We'd appreciate it if outdoor shoes were not worn in the house.

Usual check-in time is 4-6pm, but this is flexible, and check-out time is 10am.

The minimum stay is 2 nights.
