A luxurious hayloft and old stable conversion perfect for Filey, Flamborough and Bridlington, pet friendly Puffin Cottage at Buckton village is a holiday cottage gem and the ideal gateway into the Yorkshire Wolds and Heritage Coast. Surrounded by 8 acres of fields perfect for dog walking, the cottage sits close to the RSPB at Bempton Cliffs, only a few miles from Flamborough Head. Free WiFi, parking and secure bike storage are all on-site, and amenities including a fine inn and village shop are nearby.

Blending original features with contemporary style, Puffin Cottage sleeps 2 guests and features wonderful exposed oak beams, smoked pine flooring and exposed chalk stone. Perfect for couples, the property dates from 1810 and offers living space across two storeys, featuring a stunning upstairs king-size double bedroom, with freeview TV and an en-suite shower. The sitting and dining room area includes Freeview TV, bluetooth soundbar a DVD and ample stylish sofa seating.

A cot or put up bed can be added to the king bedroom for a child. We have highchairs and booster seats also. One dog is welcome in Puffin Cottage.

We have worked hard to provide an outside environment where you have access to your own garden, seating area and summer house. Further afield on our 5 acre site there are sheep, chickens and bees as well as visiting barn owls and an array of hedgerow birds. We have a wildflower meadow walk up to a picnic bench where you can rest, enjoy the view and let the wildlife come to you.

Rental options are week rents Friday to Friday and short breaks Friday to Monday and Monday to Friday.

We are in the farm house on site and are happy to see you into your cottage and be there to answer any questions if needed. We have two children so have a good knowledge of places to visit in the area. Kerry works as the lineside conservation officer at the NYMR railway and can help guest to choose the best time to visit and the the opportunities to see wildlife. We offer guests to Manor Farm Cottages the chance to use our Dalby Accommodation forest pass allowing one car free entry into the Forest.

    A lovely, cosy cottage in a peaceful and picturesque setting. Paul and Kerry were very accommodating and made us all feel welcome. Dog and baby friendly! Would love to return.

    Very good facilities in this lovely one bedroom cottage. Dog friendly and very near RSPB Bempton cliffs for birdwatchers. Would highly recommend.

    How do damage deposits work?

    You can request to change the dates or number of people on your booking via the Manage your holiday booking page. To change your holiday dates use the Edit booking button. If you need to change the number of guests staying then send Kerry and Paul (the owner) a message.

    If Kerry and Paul (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
