From the owner

Mermaid is a modern home situated 8 minutes walk from the beautiful beach of Freshwater East. It was externally refurbished in 2019 with new coloured wall cladding, insulation and a new roof. The home provides a modern bathroom incorporating a walk in shower. The lounge/kitchen/diner opens at the rear onto an area of lawn and woodland where a range of wildlife can be observed. There is also a small herb garden and roses in front of Mermaid. Free wifi, a ready to stream TV and Blu Ray/DVD player are available. The kitchen is fully equipped with an electric cooker, fridge and microwave. Heating and electricity are included in the rental price. Duvets and pillows are supplied, please bring your own bed linen, duvet covers and towels. A folding bed is available for a fifth person to sleep in the lounge. A cot and high chair are also supplied. There is a collection of mermaids for children to explore. A dedicated parking space is located close to the front door.

I am pleased you enjoyed your stay and found Mermaid to be clean and well equipped. The opportunity to view wildlife at the back of the chalet in the woodland is a plus which most chalets at Trewent Park do not offer. .

Thank you for your comments. We have had plenty of rain in recent times and have a plastic mat for muddy footwear just inside the front door. I will consider the suggestion of an outdoor storage box. Your review shows that a mid winter visit to Pembrokeshire can be enjoyable given suitable accommodation such as Mermaid..

Peaceful and close to the sea

Clean, quiet and an excellent base for a week by the sea. We have stayed in two other Trewent Park chalets, and this was the best. Beautiful setting with woodland behind. Very helpful owners

Why can't I call Peter (the owner) before booking?

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.

How do I edit my booking?

You can request to change the dates or number of people on your booking via the Manage your holiday booking page. To change your holiday dates use the Edit booking button. If you need to change the number of guests staying then send Peter (the owner) a message.

If Peter (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
