Burgess at Trengove Farm Cottages

Burgess is named after the old smuggler that once lived at Trengove. This single storey cottage overlooks the central lawn and flower bed in the courtyard. It is a particularly bright and sunny property, receiving sun for most of the day... The cottage can also be entered through a back door which is only a few yards from the car park. This leads into a carpeted passageway which takes you into the rest of the property.

The living area has attractive wood flooring with two comfortable settees. The well-appointed kitchen has grey shaker style cupboards and a splendid granite worktop. An attractive arched doorway, clothed in wisteria in spring, leads out of the living area on to the open, predominantly south facing patio courtyard, with wooden table and chairs, ideal for al fresco dining.

The compact bathroom has a wet room style shower, toilet, washbasin and heated towel rail. On either side of this are the two bedrooms, carpeted throughout, one with twin beds and the other with a king size bed. An interesting feature of this cottage is the two tiny apertures with hand painted stained glass windows, most likely used for ventilation when the cottage used to be a cow’s house.

There is a separate laundry room a few yards away with washing machine and tumble dryer.

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.

You can request to change the dates or number of people on your booking via the Manage your holiday booking page. To change your holiday dates use the Edit booking button. If you need to change the number of guests staying then send the property manager a message.

If the property manager agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
