'Grand Ciel' is a magnificent 5 Star villa (French Tourism Classification) in the heart of La Flotte en Ré hidden away in the streets behind the Harbour. The property is set in private walled gardens with a 11m x 6m heated swimming pool, sun terraces and decks, electric gate with private parking for 2 cars. The principal rooms and master bedroom are air conditioned.

The villa is a few minutes walk from the harbour with its cafes, excellent restaurants and medieval food market which is open all year. This stunning property is in a prime location and equipped in line with its 5 Star France Tourism rating.

Grand Ciel sleeps 10 people in 5 bedrooms (3 x en-suite bedrooms with king size pocket sprung/memory foam mattresses and 2 x twin bedrooms with shared bathroom), 3 reception rooms, 5 bathrooms, heated 11m swimming pool, sun decks with hot/cold outside shower, front south facing courtyard with Webber gas BBQ and 10 person outside dining table to enjoy long hot summer evenings in this quiet, secluded location. There is a covered bicycle store by the entrance to the front courtyard.

Kitchen highlights - open plan, breakfast table, larder fridge, wine fridge, freezer with ice machine, 5 ring SMEG gas cooker with electric oven, BlueHome filtered chilled/sparking water tap, Nespresso coffee machine and Sonos speaker system. Separate utility room with cleaning, washing and drying machines. Reception rooms highlights - Two living rooms with large sofas, one with Smart TV with Satellite including UK terrestrial, Sky News and Netflix. Air-conditioned in the main open-plan rooms and the master bedroom. The property is furnished in a contemporary ile de ré style with limed oak and ceramic floors and quality fittings throughout. Outside there are ample sun-beds, 2 large sunbathing benches, two tabled eating areas and a shady deck with large outside sofa and table tennis table.

The best way to enjoy the island is on bicycle and St Martin (the Capital of Ile de Ré) is just a 15 min ride away. Most of the island can be explored this way without use of a car. The cosmopolitan city of La Rochelle is only a 15 minutes drive away, adding many possible activities and visits to your stay.

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.

You can request to change the dates or number of people on your booking via the Manage your holiday booking page. To change your holiday dates use the Edit booking button. If you need to change the number of guests staying then send Agnes (the owner) a message.

If Agnes (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
