I would like to welcome you to my new venture... a stunning glamping Yurt set in the most beautiful and tranquil area, affording spectacular views as you lie in your bed onto the breath taking scenery of rural Herefordshire.

Acorn Yurt has been lovingly designed for you to enjoy the experience of camping, but with added glamour.. With huge emphasis on Romance, unlike most Glamping holidays, all you have to bring is yourself, as all linen, towels, etc is provided. There is wood and charcoal provided but should you require more then you can purchase that at the same cost as I purchase it for.

All my guests so far have been truly overwhelmed by the beauty and tranquillity, and not least, the novelty of staying in the middle of a field with amazing views and birdsong!

The main area is entirely for you to relax in, featuring a romantically dressed sleeping and seating area, complete with comfy seats and woodburning stove. Lovely styled bedroom furniture adds absolute luxury to your experience of camping under the stars.

The most relaxing time is here for your taking, sitting and enjoying the peace and quiet, listening to the birdsong and watching the passing of the day in this unique environment.

Night time brings a myriad of tiny solar lights out, and you will not fail to be affected by their beauty, sitting in the romantic setting, enjoying the beauty of this amazing Yurt.

Perfect for a romantic short break, I enjoy setting Acorn Yurt ready for Wedding Night Honey Moons. I can provide Special Extras on request With rose petals scattered on the bed, wild flowers overflowing in their vases, and champagne waiting on ice for you to walk the romantically lit walkway across field, Brides and Grooms cannot fail to start their married life in sheer heaven.

Book Acorn Yurt for short or week long holidays, and feel that satisfaction of 'getting away from the fast lane', living as simply as we were possibly meant to! (For those who crave modern living I can also offer a power shower and wifi near the main house!) Beside the Yurt is a quaint and functional kitchen, with cold running water,( even heating your water for washing up seems a novelty out here) , beautiful units and a gas stove with grill. I have also designed you a hut housing the lavatory, also beautiful, with a hygienic cassette toilet hidden under what is designed to look like the old fashioned composting loos, but without the unpleasantness! An old fashioned pitcher and bowl complete this endearing and important little room!

Acorn Yurt is situated on a horse breeding farm, well away from any roads, so peace and quiet is the order of the day! As this is country life, I cannot absolutely guarantee that you will not hear any machinery operating during harvest season.... but you would be remarkably unlucky if this coincided with your stay. You will be able to see mares with their foals grazing around you, and there is wildlife resident in abundance. Night time sounds of owls hooting will be followed by the morning songbirds heralding the day. We have just finished foaling season, so you are able to take delight in seeing foals gambolling in the fields!

On arrival you will be welcomed with Prosecco waiting on ice as well as other luxurys to begin your break with love, and I also provide you with some basic food supplies so that you can relax with a bite to eat, a tea or coffee, before exploring the local area.

The picturesque black and white villages close by are lovely to wonder around, and the worthwhile drive through scenic countryside to the town of Ludlow with its festivals and food fare is a must!Acorn Yurt looks out to the National Trust treasure that is Croft Castle, and a walk around this, and through its thousands acres of historic woodland is a wonderful way to spend a day or two on the doorstep!! Kingsland village is just 2 miles away, and has two pubs with excellent food within and lovely atmosphere.

I always greet guests, walk them over to Acorn Yurt so that I can show them the ‘nitty gritty’.... so please contact me to discuss an arrival time and try to adhere to it as much as possible. From then on I leave you to yourselves but am always available to help when needed.

House rules

Guests may smoke outside Acorn Yurt but NOT inside. Dogs are NOT allowed on bed and please be courteous of where their muddy paws go inside yurt. (Tap is outside to aid washing them)
Loo is a cassette ( as in a caravan) so please give me adequate warning of levels in order to refresh.
Wi fi is not great out at yurt... which gives YOU the perfect opportunity to switch off completely, but good connection can be obtained near house.
Mares and foals are friendly but unpredictable

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.

How do I edit my booking?

You can request to change the dates or number of people on your booking via the Manage your holiday booking page. To change your holiday dates use the Edit booking button. If you need to change the number of guests staying then send Candy (the owner) a message.

If Candy (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
