Welcome to our brand new listing on Holiday Lettings...! We have rented Coombe Farm for over 5 years and have a 5-star rating from Blue Chip Holidays, Trip Advisor and from Owners Direct.

The Farmhouse is a property of grand design, combining the charm of historic stone barns, with contemporary internal design and modern facilities - We offer truly spacious accommodation for 12 (+2 babies). For an additional couple, Vine Cottage offers luxurious accommodation with a spacious bedroom and fully equipped kitchen, for an additional 20% fee.

The properties have a south facing aspect, with a sunny and sheltered courtyard overlooking a small stream in the valley below.

Coombe Farm is a perfect summer holiday location and is also ideal for autumn, winter and spring breaks, with log fires and cosy accommodation. The location is genuinely rural, offering complete peace and serenity. The Farmhouse has good access for those with limited mobility but neither property is suitable for wheelchair users due to stair access to much of the accommodation.

The Farm includes a series of small pastures at the bottom of the valley, through which 2 shallow, clear trout streams run - fun for children to play in, with some adult supervision - the fields are home to a small flock of friendly White Faced Dartmoor sheep and a few young Devon Ruby Red and Galloway cows. Behind the barns, up the hillside, we have planted a 150-tree cider apple orchard - all traditional West Country varieties - and 5 vineyards - Pinot Noir, Bacchus, Madeleine Angevine, Pinot Gris, Pinot Noir Précoce and some Chardonnay, totalling 22 000 vines all together. The apples and grapes will become commercially productive in 2-3 years' time. In addition, we have built and equipped a winery and will also begin gin production in 2017.

Coombe Farmhouse offers spacious accommodation, with high ceilings and cosy log fires in the living room, dining room and kitchen Teak flooring with beautiful Persian carpets give the place a luxurious feel throughout. The 12-seater cinema, with real cinema seats, a popcorn maker and a wide selection of (100+) DVDs is a great hit with children - and adults...

Outside, stone terraces and a wooden deck offer great places for alfresco dining and barbeques. The main courtyard is a wonderful sun trap.

Ground floor: 2 twin bedrooms and 1 king size double bedroom (all with en-suite bathrooms with showers) and flat-screen TVs with independent Freesat receivers); Laundry room with 2 washing machines, drier and ironing facilities; Storage cupboard; Hallway; Stairs leading to the first floor.

First Floor: – High vaulted ceilings with oak A-frames – Spacious, fully fitted Italian designer kitchen with large gas/electric range, fridge and freezer, ice maker, wine cooler; polished granite worktops, central island/breakfast bar; French window leading to deck with large teak dining table and chairs; Dining room with seating for 12; double aspect log fireplace and French window, opening to the rear of the building; Comfortable Lounge with log fireplace and plentiful seating equipped with a 47” 3D TV with full Sky package; BluRay DVD player; X-Box games system;. Teak floors throughout.

12-Seat Cinema: - The Home DVD Cinema room is fitted with hifi surround sound speakers, overhead projector and a 8' x 5' screen. There is a large selection of films for all ages and tastes. To add to the cinema atmosphere, we have provided a traditional popcorn maker.

First floor: Glazed walkway to a private and spacious double bedroom, with king-sized bed; teak floors; large en-suite bathroom and separate shower. French window leading to a private terrace.

Ground Floor: Indoor heated 25 ft swimming pool, with patio doors which open onto the courtyard garden.

Separate Single Storey Cart Shed

Private accommodation in the garden about 8 metres from the Kitchen French windows, along a gravel path - Large double bedroom and a twin bedroom, linked by shared en-suite bathroom and shower. Both bedrooms are equipped with flat-screen TVs with independent Freesat receivers.

How do damage deposits work?

If LANCE & CAROLINE (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
