We're delighted to confirm that the Welsh government have given the go-ahead for self-contained accommodation such as ours to re-open from 13th July.

We're committed to following new cleaning protocols for any new bookings from now moving forward. We pride ourselves on keeping the house as clean as we can but we will now take extra care on light switches, door knobs etc as per new guidelines.

Welcome to our unique Fisherman's Cottage with exquisite views over Mumbles bay from our front deck, living room and master bedroom. We are in heart of the Mumbles, less than one minute from the prom but on a very quiet street. The world class Pilot brewery, Verdi's, the Pier and newly developed Oyster Wharf brimming with bistro restaurants and bars are all minutes away. Behind us is the gateway to the Gower, beautiful beaches, long winding walks and exciting children's playgrounds.

Our Fisherman's Cottage is character-filled and very peaceful considering its amazing location! Whether you are sitting on our front deck with a glass of wine in hand (every booking will receive a complimentary bottle of wine!) or whether you're sitting in the living room in front of a roaring fire or lying in the master bedroom, you will be able to enjoy the majesty of Mumbles seafront from the seclusion of our hideaway. The master bedroom has a king size bed. The second bedroom also has a king size bed though it's smaller than the master, we are turning it into a comfy and bright space. Both beds can be turned into singles to accommodate friends, siblings and relatives with ease. Although this will be a tighter fit in the second bedroom.

Guest access:

Two bedrooms, double reception room, kitchen, bathroom, front and rear patios. There will be free tea, coffee and cereals for you in the morning. And please help yourself to any food you find in the kitchen! In summary, you will have free-reign of the whole house apart from the attic bedroom which will be locked. Roadside parking is available, free parking nearby and car parks on the sea front.

Neighbourhood overview

Mumbles high street is just a few minutes walk with its bars, independent shops and other attractions, with the newly revamped Oyster Castle standing proudly in view. Langland Bay; with its gorgeous sandy beaches is just 5 mins drive or a 15 minute walk. Costal footpaths take you on sunny adventures as your heart desires.

Getting around:

Transport links are also very good with the main Mumbles to Swansea bus route less than a minute from our door. The Cottage is a 5-10 minute taxi ride from the main line station in Swansea (3 hrs by direct train approximately every 30 mins from Paddington station, London). Families can enjoy the historic sea-front train that runs along the promenade via the kids lido (open air play pool).

Other things to note:

Additionally, we can offer dining experiences at the cottage. If you can't be bothered to cook or you just fancy treating your other half or your family/group to a tasty three course dining experience, please get in touch after the booking. By the way, our house offers the best seats for the Wales Airshow! We are also minutes from the Mumbles and Bristol Channel yacht clubs. And there is a quiet footpath just a minute from the house that takes you up onto the Mumbles Hill Nature Reserve- which our Cottage backs onto!

Hi, We’re very sorry you thought the kitchen was poorly equipped. In 6 years of running the cottage, we have only received positive feedback with regards to how well-stocked the kitchen is. We are sorry you thought it was not up-to-standard. There is a vegetable peeler, serving bowls, casserole dishes, small and large saucepans and plenty of microvable dishes. I’m sorry you didn’t see them. I can only go on what my cleaner tells me as we are currently away and deployed. My cleaner manages and cleans 15 Air Bnbs. She told me that the house was dirty, that there was a dent in the fridge and dirty pants left in the sofa. I reported this to TripAdvisor and the guest. I didn’t take a penny off the guest. I am very sorry you thought the cottage was overpriced. We didn’t change the price for 5 years until recently, when we increased it by £20 to cover our own increased costs. We are sorry you had a bad experience. We took your word on it and indeed, didn’t charge you any extra. We wish you well and apologise for any ill-feeling by bringing up the cleaner’s report.

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.

Go to Manage your holiday booking to view all your booking details, pay the balance of your holiday or cancel it if you need to.

How do I pay the balance of my holiday?

You can pay the remaining balance of your holiday at any point. Simply go to Manage my holiday booking and click Pay now.

We’ll automatically charge the balance payment to the same payment method 10 days before it’s due. Go to Manage my holiday booking to see when the payment will be taken.

How can I retract my booking request?

You’ll need to contact Daisy (the owner) to do this. Send them a message in Manage your holiday booking or through the contact form on this page.

How do I cancel my booking?

Go to Manage your holiday booking to cancel your booking. Here you can view your cancellation policy to see if you’ll be refunded.

How do I edit my booking?

You can request to change the dates or number of people on your booking via the Manage your holiday booking page. To change your holiday dates use the Edit booking button. If you need to change the number of guests staying then send Daisy (the owner) a message.

If Daisy (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
