From the manager

Set in an idyllic coastal position Meadow View offers a quiet retreat in a glorious setting, offering self-catering accommodation for up to 5 guests in 2 bedrooms. It has a well equipped kitchen, lounge, dining room and bathroom plus a second toilet with wash basin. Meadow View is well placed for an interesting holiday - go for a ride on a steam train on the West Somerset Railway, a wander around Dunster Castle and mediaeval village or catch the bus or train to Minehead where you could transfer to a sightseeing tour of Exmoor or the coast (July, August & September). There is something for all ages here!

Meadow View lounge is a large bright room which is south-west facing and enjoys stunning panoramic views. The French Doors open onto the patio and garden and there is a gas fire for cosy nights in too. The dining room has table and chairs for 5 and like the lounge faces south-west with stunning panoramic views. There is also a single futon in the dining room which can be used to increase the flexibility of sleeping arrangements at Meadow View. Bedding can be provided for the futon if requested.

The bathroom is light and spacious and includes a level walk in shower, bath, toilet and wash basin and heated towel rail. There is a second toilet with wash basin and shaver point.

The double bedroom overlooks the garden and has a double bed and single bed. The twin bedded room has stunning views of surrounding countryside and coastline has 2 single beds. Both bedrooms include a mirror and hanging and drawer space and a chair. All beds include duvets, bed linen and pillows.

The kitchen is fully equipped with microwave, electric cooker, crockery etc with table and chairs. There is an adjoining utility room/larder with fridge/deep-freeze, worktop and plenty of storage space. Laundry facilities include washing machine, iron and ironing board, washing basket, pegs and clothes airer – there is a rotary clothes line in the garden.

The lounge has an LCD television with digital terrestrial freeview, DVD player and a CD player and radio. A hair dryer is provided for your convenience.

Electricity and heating costs are included in the price of your accommodation. The property is fitted with central heating, which will be programmed for you but can be adjusted to suit your preferences.

Bed linen is provided. Towels can be provided for a supplementary fee of 5 GBP per person. Please bring your own beach towels if you wish to take towels with you on day trips.

There is off-road parking on the drive in front of the bungalow.

The large rear garden has similar views to the lounge and provides plenty of space for children to play. The patio has table and chairs provided for alfresco dining and there is an additional set of garden furniture for use on a paved area at the bottom of the garden.

Outside the back door is a double glazed rear porch - good for storing boots, wet weather gear etc. Part of the garage is available as a secure space for bikes, pushchairs, etc.

Sorry, no dogs at Meadow View.

Meadow View is a detached bungalow set in a large slightly sloping garden. Access is via a short tarmac drive with double gates at the entrance. The bungalow is level inside apart from threshold strips (7.5 cms / 3 inches high) at the front and back entrances.

The driveway slopes down from the road at a gradient of about 1 in 10. The house is set back about 15 metres from the road. There are outside lights operated by movement sensors. Cars can be driven to the front door for anyone with limited mobility where there is a level area with sufficient space to get out of a car.

The property is strictly non-smoking.
