Welcome to our breezy and comfortable, and tastefully decorated 2 bedroom private Villa, with it's own full kitchen, and ensuite dual sink bathroom with hot and cold running water, Air Conditioning in each bedroom, and it's own 40ft long private pool located steps away from your front door. Located within the Carara Biological Nature Preserve (Playa Hermosa), this private Villa is centrally located within the coastal rainforest, at the valley base of a local mountain ridge. This location is ideally located within walking distance of one of Costa Rica's premier surfing beaches with beautiful scenery, natural wildlife and a naturally occurring 50M waterfall. Both secure and private, this wonderful estate Villa is surrounded by 360 degree scenic views, manicured gardens, and a large variety of local wildlife. With it's own private pool, private pool shower, outdoor dining and outdoor lounge area, it is the ideal location to spend your holiday outing or yearly vacation, right next to your own private 40ft pool in the coastal rain forest. Let the sounds and sights of the playful white faced capuchin monkeys, the noisy keel billed Toucans, the colorful wild Macaw Parrots, the mimicking Mynah birds, and the enormous wild Morpho Butterflies (bright Turquoise Blue in color) assure you that you are in an active, living coastal rain forest. The estate and property are located within a large Biological nature Preserve and animal sanctuary, and is visited by many different indigenous wildlife almost daily (the animals are wild and are therefore untrained and on no schedule for appearances). However, actively living here for almost four years now a day has yet to go by without an appearance of any wildlife.

White faced capuchin monkeys, three toed sloths, keel billed as well as the rare scarlett crested toucans, humming birds, morpho butterflies, and wild macaws (large parrots), ring tailed coati, kinkajous (honey bears), wild turkeys and even Jaguarundi can be spotted in the surrounding fauna, and are often spotted daily. Attractively manicured gardens and marked pathways surround the estate, allowing for safe and eco friendly sightseeing. Playa Hermosa, one of Costa Rica's most renowned surfing beaches (The BackYard) is located within walking distance from our 2 Bedroom Villa, and to top it off, there is a naturally occurring 50 Meter waterfall within 300 meters of the Villa, allowing you to hear the roar of the waterfall right from your bedroom windows (velocity of water flow depends on the season. The Waterfall, located right next door on the neighboring property, may be seen for free, or, if you would like to wade or bathe in it, for a nominal fee it can be fully accessed.

The Villa and the property are subject to an energy conservation policy which states that negligent use of energy resources is not tolerated (i.e. leaving the Villa and leaving the A/C running when no one is there.) Anyone found violating the energy conservation policy after the policy has been explained, is subject to a $250 fine.

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.

If FRANK (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
