Located right down the gravel driveway at the furthest end of the seven acre private grounds, Lapwing luxury log cabin resides in a truly idyllic setting. The solid real wood lodge has 3 bedrooms and sleeps up to 6 plus up to 2 cots in total comfort.

Lapwing lodge offers luxurious accommodation for your holiday or weekend break. Relax and unwind in the sunken hot tub, taking in the countryside views during the day and stargazing upon the clear skies at night. In warmer weather drinks can be served on the porch or in the spacious gardens and dinner can be taken al fresco at the wooden table outside your cabin.

In the winter months cosy suppers can be enjoyed around the dining table followed by a warming hot tub or simply curling up on the comfortable sofas in the lounge. However you decide to spend your time, Lapwing lodge offers you the chance of true relaxation in a most beautiful setting.

The lodge is aptly named Lapwing after the bird which can be seen on the surrounding farmland and fells, both having beauty and distinction.

The cabin is set within 7 Acres of landscaped land, picnic benches and rustic seating, barbeque area and child’s play area with swings and a slide. The grounds include a wildlife pond, small stream, mature woodland and a large field where sheep and spring lambs can be seen, plus bird tables/feeders offer bird watching throughout the year. You are sure to spot the red squirrels, wild rabbits or some of the other varieties of wildlife on the site during your stay.

All our lodge bedrooms are furnished to a very high standard and come well equipped with good sized wardrobes, dressing tables, lamps, mirrors & hairdryer.

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.

How do I edit my booking?

You can request to change the dates or number of people on your booking via the Manage your holiday booking page. To change your holiday dates use the Edit booking button. If you need to change the number of guests staying then send Jennie (the owner) a message.

If Jennie (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
