All that Stratford has to offer after a busy day! Arden Holiday Let dates back to 1877 and is situated right in the very heart of Shakespeare’s home town.

We have a full Covid 19 cleaning policy in place to protect us as well as yourselves when staying. A copy of this is in the property and can be emailed to you ahead of your stay. We use Xmist bombs to Sanitise the whole house.

Shakespeare's birthplace is just 4 minutes’ walk away. This Victoria terrace Cottage has retained many or its original features including wooden panel doors and sash windows but is light, modern and spacious. It is beautifully decorated in fashionable tones with a good mix of old and new and has your own private Courtyard garden perfect for summer evening alfresco dining or having a BBQ after a busy day of sightseeing. Our house is equipped with Coffee, tea, sugar and milk as well as Hotel style toiletries and fresh towels.

The house has two bedrooms, one with a King size bed and the second two singles. There is a brand new Luxury Hotel style bathroom installed in Feb 2020 which comprises a contemporary freestanding bath, separate shower, wall hung basin and heated towel radiator. The Kitchen is modern with dishwasher, toaster, microwave, kettle, Dolce Gusto coffee maker, washing machine and a separate tumble drier. The large lounge has a three seat sofa, and two chairs plus FREE WiFi and Netflix TV and the dining room seats 6 people. There is also a Utility room with Fridge, and a door leading into a pretty Courtyard garden perfect for catching the evening sun with a covered area or those cyclists who want to store their bikes whilst away. The garden also has two recliners for relaxing on a summers day or enjoying a morning coffee.

Inside the house there is large file in the lounge which is jam packed full of useful information, including pamphlets, Bus timetables and most of the telephone/websites for the local Restaurants in town as weel as a lamintaed selection of some of our favourites.

A travel cot, high chair and children's bed guard are available on request (though we do not supply cot bedding)

An extra single J'bed with sprung bed base is available for an extra charge for those in a party of five (this would always be put up in the dining room. We will consider one “small well behaved dog” this si cocker spaniel size to clarify and no puppies (charges may apply). We do not allow dogs on carpeted areas for obviously reasons. Please message us to check if we will accept your breed/size of dog.

Please note there is a Gas fire in the lounge which has been disconnected so please do NOT make any attempt to ignite it. There are red glowing lights that can be plugged in to give a red glow.

Guest access

Guest will have full access to the whole house and Court yard Garden. The only things locked are one half of the huge wardrobe and a blanket box in the dining room where we keep bed linen and cleaning products.

Rubbish & Recycling

There are both blue (recycling) and black (general waste bins at the front of the property and these are collected very early on Friday mornings "you will find a schedule" in the house file. The bin men are not the quietest!!!!!!

Christmas

The house is simply decorated with Christmas decorations and from mid December to get you in the Christmas spirit.......

We would expect our guests to be considerate of the other neighbours either side regarding noise levels after 10.00pm. (we will consider one small well behaved dog but charges will apply) There is free parking for one vehicle on Mansel Street ( we require your registration at time of booking so we can register your vehicke) Keys must be put back in the lock box.
