Stunning rural location on a small farm with free Wifi to all rooms.

The Shepherds View - Newly refurbished with full central heating. Sleeps 6 and is located on Oaks Barn Farm. It comprises of 2 lodges adjacent to each other which are linked by a decking area. The main lodge has 2 king-sized beds in 2 separate bedrooms. The king-sized beds are a zip and lock type, this allows comfort and flexibility to be able to split them into 2 single beds. It has a large spacious walk-in shower with flushing WC. Open plan lounge kitchen and a dining area furnished with granite work surfaces and flat-screen TV, free Wifi throughout the lodge. Adjacent is the second lodge which has a double bed and ensuite bathroom with flushing toilet and wash hand basin. Both lodges benefit from central heating controlled by you on a thermostat. They have their own enclosed garden area complete with outside dining table and chairs, charcoal BBQ and salt water hot tub.

Towels and linen included. For those really small guests, we have a high chair, and travel cot upon request.

The saltwater hot tub is available for your own personal use at an additional cost of £150 per stay. We empty the spa and refill it for each party coming in. The price includes 1200 litres of water, refill of salt and enough Kw of electricity to heat it. Providing you replace the cover and turn off the jets when it is not in use you will not run out of your allocated amount of electric units. Because we have other guests on the farm by replacing the cover after use it keeps everyone safe. Children must be accompanied.  We have chosen a chemical-free Hot tub which is in line with our green policy.  It is a fantastic place to sit at night watching the stars.

There is a selection of indoor and outdoor games and a small play park.

An ideal centre from which to explore the Midlands, the Cotswolds and Shakespeare Country with its rich tapestry of culture, superb country houses gardens and lots of interesting things to do and see. The NEC and the NIA are easily accessible and within 30 mins of the Farm. Golf, horse riding, fishing and horse racing are nearby.

The well-known town of Stratford-upon Avon is 10 minutes drive away. Set in surrounding farmland, this retreat makes the most of its open countryside, offering views of the Malvern Hills with their superb evening sunsets, breeding buzzards nest in the surrounding hedgerow and pheasant and partridge together with deer are common to the surrounding fields. The Village of Inkberrow (one of the villages used in the Radio4 Archers series) with the old Bull and Village shop, is just 2 miles from the Farm,

The Roman Market Town of Alcester hosts a range of Traditional Pubs and Inns together with local shops and Tea & Coffee Rooms. The Neighbouring Ragley Estate home to the 9th Marquess and Marchioness of Hertford and their four children occupies some of the surrounding farmland, this hosts The Game Fair and many seasonal events throughout the year. Farming seasonal activities by arrangement including lambing, shearing, cherry and mushroom picking. Air rifle shooting and all terrain vehicle experience subject to availability and a charge.

Closed-circuit television is in place to protect all of the farm.

Please note: We also have 2 other properties on the farm which also accommodate 6 persons. You will find them on this site The Granary Property number 102237 and The Coach House property number 102236, therefore, larger numbers can be catered for.

Interaction with guest

Shepherds View is on the site of Oaks Barn Farm where Sue & Wayne live. The vast majority of the time they are on hand to meet and greet you. There is a key safe to the property, details to access the Shepherds View if they are not on hand will be sent through to you beforehand via email. Please let the owners know your expected time of arrival. Guests can be as on hands as they would like, there are always plenty of jobs to do on the farm however during the summer months when the sheep have been turned out to pasture there is less work to be done.

Thank you Shevi, David and boys for your great review. We are so glad that you all enjoyed your stay with us. It was great to see the children enjoying the play park and safe open spaces, we know you really loved your garden area. We are so glad you managed to find us by searching for Oaks Barn Farm, Alcester and booking direct which helps you to save on expensive commission and booking fees. We would love to see you all again at some time in the future you were a lovely family to host. Thank you for choosing Oaks Barn Farm.
