Old Post Office Cottage sleeps 5/6 and is conveniently located in the

heart of Symondsbury Village. The generous gardens and proximity to both

Bridport and the sea make this cottage very special. There are 2 double bedrooms, 1 single room plus a large family bathroom. The cosy lounge has an open fire and the kitchen/dining room and wood burning stove. There is also a games room with table tennis, trampoline and free wi-fi connection. Dogs welcome.

We require a 25% deposit to secure the booking, the balance is due 8 weeks before your stay. Bookings can be made via our website or telephone at present. Payments are accepted via BACS, Cheque, and Credit/Debit Cards. For weekend & mid week breaks please enquire on the telephone number given.

The cottage boasts a cosy sitting room with sofas, armchairs, an open fire and a flat screen TV with Freeview. Free WIFI and plenty of games are also available to keep you occupied.

The kitchen/diner has an ample supply of cooking utensils, crockery and cutlery. The oval dining table seats 6 or 8 comfortably and the wood burner gives a wonderful warmth whilst dining on a cold winters evening.

There are 2 double bedrooms with zip and link beds to give guests the freedom to choose if they can be set up as a double or as two single beds. The single bedroom is spacious, and has enough room for a z bed if required. For added comfort, our guests are provided with top quality, white, crisp bed linen and white towelling dressing gowns.

The large bathroom has a bath with an overhead shower, plus a brand new high-pressure walk-in shower. There is a separate WC and hand washbasin downstairs, next to the useful utility room.

Outside the back of the cottage, there is a terraced area complete with a gas barbeque and table and chairs. Perfect for guests to sit in privacy whilst enjoying the view of the church and adjoining fields in the summer.

The Old Post Office shop next door to the cottage in the garden has recently been converted as a games room with table tennis. There is also a trampoline in the garden for added fun for the younger members of your family.

Why can't I call the property manager before booking?

You can exchange contact details with the property owner/manager once your booking is confirmed and you’ve paid in full. Paying and communicating only through our platform allows us to ensure that your booking is covered by our Payment Protection policy.

If you have any questions before booking, you can send the property owner/manager a message via the contact form on their listing. Once you’ve booked, you can discuss the rental and make arrangements for your trip by logging into Manage my booking.

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.

How do I edit my booking?

You can request to change the dates or number of people on your booking via the Manage your holiday booking page. To change your holiday dates use the Edit booking button. If you need to change the number of guests staying then send the property manager a message.

If the property manager agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
