Barley lodge is hidden away, with views across the fields of sheep and cows. Previously a pig farm and now a mixed small holding. 7 miles from historic Chester City And 2 miles from Delamere Forest. Ideally suited for walking , cycling and horse riding.

Located on the outskirts of Kelsall Village which has several excellent Pubs / restaurants with essential shops and post office.

Barley Lodge will provide home from home comfort but without the stresses of everyday life. Perfect for a quick get away to recharge those batteries or for a base to explore the many delights that Cheshire and the North West has to offer.

Reduced rates for Weekly and long stays

Relax on the Decking with a glass of the locally brewed Weetwood Ale watching the cows & sheep grazing in the field.

Barley Lodge is fitted out to a high standard with a well equipped modern kitchen. Open plan living/Dining area . Free internet access with Wi-fi, Smart TV, FreeSat and FreeView to keep you fully connected if you wish.

A large modern bathroom with a spacious walk in shower or relax in the full sized bath.

Included in the rental charges are heating, electricity and we also provide a good supply of logs and kindling. Further logs can be purchased as required.

For those staying a while Laundry services can be provided by a local company who pick up and deliver or there is washing machine available in a separate out building. We can also provide bike storage if you want to explore Cheshire by bike.

Cot and High Chair available please specify on booking.

Private patio and decking area with seating and BBQ which overlooks the adjoining fields which is home to the black welsh mountain sheep.

Well behaved pets welcome, why not bring your horse or pony on holiday with you, stabling available, please contact us for details. The area provides great walking or riding country.

The village also has a good quality local supermarket, prize winning butchers and a chemist.

Weetwood Ales - Kelsall's very own micro brewery, is situated next door, sampling of their ales is recommended and purchases can be made from the brewery shop open Mon-Fri and Saturday mornings.

I don't think you will be disappointed

I stayed here last weekend and I was so impressed. The lodge itself was well equipped, clean and welcoming. If you want to stay in this area then I don't think you could do better.
