An ideal base for families or a quiet retreat for couples. The glorious sandy beach is accessed directly opposite the Park for those who are reasonably fit (10 mins down, 20 mins up) . The Cliff Top Cafe provides a welcome break and is situated approximately 1/3 of the way down. The South West Coast path with spectacular views runs along the top of the cliff and offers access to the ancient chapel at Rame head and the quaint villages of Cawsand and Kingsand. Surfing is popular and a surf school is available on the beach (seasonal). Diving to explore HMS Scylla is available just offshore. Golf, fishing and horse riding are available locally whilst many quality attractions such as the Eden Project are within easy reach by car. The Lodge provides an ideal base to explore Cornwall and South Devon. If you are looking for a more relaxing break, we provide books (for all ages), puzzles, indoor and outdoor games and DVD's and CD's, though it may take a while to read the entire collection of Agatha Christie novels at Sea View Lodge! This Lodge is situated in a quiet corner of the park on the exclusive development of just 11 Lodges with a sea view. Parking is directly in front of the Lodge for 1 car (included) further parking is available on site to be booked in advance,( local charges apply) There is a large grassed area suitable for outdoor family games which can be seen from the Lodge. The Park offers further facilities such as a cafe, with internet access, soft play area, bar with satellite TV, restaurant and function room with entertainment in the season.

We ask for a deposit to secure the booking for your preferred dates, this can be paid online through this secure site via Paypal. A returnable deposit of £100.00 against damage or excess cleaning is also required with your final payment at least 4 weeks before your arrival. We clarify all conditions and acknowledge your payments with email confirmation and contract copies at each stage of your enquiry and booking. A hard copy can also be sent to you on application. Please note that there are various incentives offered for early bookings, repeat bookings and concessions from time to time. Comfortable beds and fluffy towels await you as all linen is provided. As private owners of this Lodge, we keep it to the highest standards of quality and cleanliness. It is a 'home from home' for us as well as you so we understand what little things can make a big difference. That's why you will find salt, pepper and vinegar in the cupboard, cling film and foil in the drawers, dishwasher tablets, washing tablets, washing up liquid and cloths. There are plenty of matching plates, bowls, cups, mugs, glasses, cutlery, serving dishes and cooking utensils so you don't have to wash up after each meal and can use the dishwasher to the full. There are selections of books for children and adults including a series of Agatha Christie novels. A CD tower houses both music and films. . The gas boiler serves both central heating and hot water which is always available on demand, ensuring that the Lodge is cosy and warm in all weathers All in all, Lodge No.9 has a great reputation for being comfortable, very well equipped, well presented and family friendly. We feel sure that you will find everything to your satisfaction and welcome you to visit us at any time. Please ask if you require high chairs or travel cots as we can provide these free of charge if your car is already full of buckets and spades! (we do have some of these too!!) The property is suitable for people with limited mobility and we have guests who stay regularly, hiring mobility scooters which can be delivered to site. Parking for one car is directly in front of the lodge and additional spaces are available on request outside the security gate (The Park charge a daily fee for extra cars). There is a large decking area to the front of the property with fabulous views of the sea and Rame Head, here you can relax with al fresco dining. The grassed area for family games can been seen from here which is ideal for the adults to relax whilst keeping an eye on the children at play. We provide outdoor games for your enjoyment. The decking continues round the side of the property (see photo) to another area to the side rear of the Lodge with more seating, if windy, this is a more sheltered position and offers the alternative spectacular view across rolling countryside to the Tamar Estuary, Plymouth and Dartmoor beyond. The Park offers traditional seaside activities such as a small amusement arcade, there is a shop/cafe around the corner from this which is where you will find free WiFi. There is a small cafe and shop on site, opposite this complex is the Whitsand Bay Park Club, Pub and Restaurant. Up the short hill is a small play area and further along the lane is a circular route around the ancient monument site. The Park is actually on an English Heritage site, once known as Whitsand Bay Battery or Raleigh Battery. There are weekly tours of the site and more details of the history are readily available online and from the reception. Whitsand Bay is an ideal base to explore the hidden gems of the Rame Peninsula, Plymouth and the whole of the Cornwall coastline down towards St Austell.
