From the owner

3 bedroom plus den , A Frame mountain house on Five-acre ranch with million-dollar views of back country sierras of Yosemite, Mammoth and Base Lake, and North Fork. Our calendar remains open as we have a back up property we also offer near us we offer when we are booked or as a second overflow for groups.

Twenty-four-hundred square foot, three-bedroom, two and half bathroom, two-plus-car garage, executive luxury home, with black granite, slate, gourmet gas stove with glass serving top facing guests for group; cooking and serving for a good family communication while cooking experience. Property is at 2800 elevation In Yosemite Scenic By Way and is accessible in winter (inside the park you may have blocks and snow plows) We are 5 miles south of Bass Lake and 1 mile to Yosemite Bass Lake Ranger station. We are the inside outside park secant call the BY way where many guests have found it preferable for access to water, rivers to fish in walking distance, lakes to boat and dine and one mile to get groceries , gas or dining and yoga and shops, where inside the park is very remote a you would be driving as there is no gas, groceries or stores inside the park. Our renters reviews on various sites have raved about great location to get to all quick and have convenience as well as only 26 miles to the south gate of Yosemite. Outside we have the Yosemite train, and yosemite shopping and golf course etc so much more to do for families and kids and all the beauty but quick accessibility to the inside gates (we are still considered yosemite outer park where folks have houses to rent and wont get snowed in or as cold.). House boasts Hardwood maple floors throughout and slate bathrooms and kitchen floors, granite and stainless steel kitchen. Hall bathroom has. Jacuzzi bath tub.

Relax with views out your window, good main road to go to the museum, park, walk to river in 3/10 mile and swim or fish, picnic, walk the dogs or play baseball with the locals. Relax on back and front outdoor deck or bbq outside (no outdoor fires allowed though) We have full star-gazing in the yosemite scenic by way of North fork more so than inside the park as astromers have the right location for their scopes here and have rented us for that reason several times. One family posted our location was superior being in the by way of three parks, yosemite, Kings canyon and Sequoia national park as well as closer to Shaver lake for winter skiing than badger pass is inside the park that is more expensive and snowed in often.I think you will find this location very suitable for couples or families and groups.

Again , reminder, Once Vacationers come to the Yosemite Scenic Loop they are amazed at all there is available. The rivers across our way, lakes, boating, swimming beaches at the lake, with Angel Falls that slide right into the lake for family fun and innertubbing. We have access to ammenities 1/2 mile to gas, grocery, Bass Lake ranger station, shops and restaurants, video store. You can fish and swim nearby as well as access full yosemite park up 274 exit out our entrance.

Visit the Indian Mono Museum by our house and take a tour of the 40 mile loop trail of lakes, such as Redinger, Mammoth

Pools and back country best camping with no crowds! even in summer we have backcountry access to Meadows, rivers, moutains and easy

access to elevations from 3000 to 7000 to be cool in summer or get to snow in winter. Dont miss our year round modestly elegant house, and not a dusty cabin so often found in the parks.

Response from the owner
This response is in regards to Maria’s review of our property in the Yosemite National Park Area. Upon meeting these four older women, they made it clear they were on a road trip from New Mexico and were looking forward to visiting many monuments and points of interest along their way. They had an itinerary and what I figured to be a very full one as I’m more than familiar with the State and these distances they were going to be traveling. Her first comments bore this out to be true. Long winding roads to get to Yosemite. What did she expect? A paved four lane to the gate and then expressway all the way into the valley? America’s Crown Jewel of the NPS sits in one of the most beautiful areas in our country. And yes, it is REMOTE. As you would expect it to be. It usually takes two full days to take it all in. Not just a day trip of a few hours. Sorry ladies. Upon arrival they asked about our laundry service area, which I explained was not in use due to high demands on our water systems here in the mountains that were in the recovery process of a long drought. The asked again, promising to be frugal so I allowed it with promises of light laundry loads. They must have done a weeks’ worth of laundry. I also explained about the use of septic tanks and leech fields to dispose of our wastewater and excessive use of water for clothes and showering put a high burden on this system. I mentioned we ask our tenants to space their shower times and use of water. It appears these words didn’t mean anything to them. The result was an over-burdened system which in turn released its fumes through the roof venting (which is what they are designed to do). At different times according to the winds direction, these fumes are prevalent. The septic tank is not full. I blame lack of knowledge on these women. I had one of them call me to tell me the toilet won’t flush. I asked if she pushed the handle all the way down and she said she wasn’t sure. These are low flow toilets. In California they are the norm for conservation. She called me later in the evening to say that the toilet worked perfectly well after a full flush. We host hundreds of occupants a year. Some of them very large parties, and the only time there is ever a problem is by over burdening the system. All of them know how to flush a toilet. On one other occasion, I was called and told that there wasn’t a hair dryer and that they needed a hair dryer..!! There were also lights out in the bathroom. I can’t imagine four middle aged women on a road trip without a hair dryer. I made a trip over, purchased a hair dryer for them and replaced two light bulbs. The third was loose and was screwed back in. In the past we have received almost 100% % star reviews from our guests. These four women couldn’t be satisfied. I do not recommend any home owner’s book these four. You won’t get a good night’s sleep, they’ll run you in circles and then leave a nasty review. The only people satisfied about their road trip is their husbands.
