Aw I'm feeling all warm after reading this review. How lucky we are to have such charming people enjoying our cottages. We are so happy that you enjoyed your stay, and it was a pleasure to share Weavers Cottage with you, we hope to see you again! This is a great review because it is very informative, and it's very useful to mention things like the bedding ( few people would think to do this) as these things are very important and ensure a comfortable stay which is really the most important thing when away from home. We like to leave treats where possible (they get smaller the shorter the trip!) so it's great that they were appreciated. We like to make our guests feel loved! Thank you for saying that you like the extra bits and pieces (ornaments etc) the husband is always telling me off for browsing for extras like this! This is such a good review, and so nicely written I think you should write for a magazine! Well, we are both very smiley right now, so a massive thank you for everything. Five bubbles! Thank you.

This is grand! Thank you so much! Glad you both had a good stay and pleased you enjoyed both Southwold and 'Loom Cottage', even though it was just a short break, it seems you made the most of your time! The sun appeared in its' full glory before and after your stay (how rude), and I think it showed its' face in between the wind whilst you were there, but we can't control the weather! However, that's why we have all the up to date DVDs, books, and everything else we can think of to keep our guests amused! As you have mentioned, the cottage is very conveniently placed to visit the (numerous ) restaurants, shops, pubs and tourist attractions (Harbour, Pier, Arcade, Museum, Lighthouse, Boating Lakes, Putting Green) in Southwold.
Thank you for the wonderful heading, and for giving us 5 bubbles!
We hope you visit 'Loom' or 'Weavers Cottage' again!

Well, what a grand start to 2017! Happy New Year everybody! Thanks so much for this lovely review, 5 bubbles, hooray! As you have said, Christmas and New Year are great times to be in Southwold! Lots going on, and absolutely loads of visitors having fun. Christmas Day swim in the sea ( I'm not brave enough but loads of others were) is also fun and The Nelson (pub) was giving out free glasses of bubbly, mince pies and sausage rolls. It was all really good fun, and there's something there for everybody to enjoy! I can't wait until next Christmas and New Year already! We would love to see you and your party back again, and it's great that you all had fun and felt comfortable in Loom Cottage. Thank you so much for such lovely words, and for taking the time to write such a brilliant review.

Thank you for these kind words, I do agree with the heading! It is really cosy. The beach is less than 10 mins walk, and it is in a great location. I love the fish and chips, lovely crispy batter and proper chips..yum, yum! We do try to keep the cottage in good order, downstairs was decorated this year and next year (hopefully) we'll do upstairs. We love sitting outside at the front watching the world go by, just generally relaxing! Hopefully we'll see you again soon, almost all of our visitors come back!

Really glad that you enjoyed the cottage and thanks for the pleasant comments. It would be a major upheaval to fit a larger shower cubicle...we have 2 smaller ones at home! We would love to have another bathroom but the layout and rear ditch would mean a character changing rebuild. Just for interest the cottage itself was Nick's mother's since about 1953 until we took it over and Nick spent his teenage years there ...earlier with no electricity, telephone, water pumped from the well, no proper drive and digging holes for the Elsan! Look forward to seeing you again.
