Thank you for a lovely review. Part of the charm of the cottage is that it is not on a road, and therefore very quiet and peaceful. The only nearby road to this little hamlet is a dead-end one that only leads to the fields, so the location is ideal for going walking straight from the front door.
The parking in this historic part of town developed in an era of pre-car and pre-planning and the houses hug the hillside. Parking is therefore located a few minutes walk away from the cottage. There is a closer drop-off point for luggage if required. The cottage and the parking is not suitable to people with limited mobility.
