"Caer Beris is a truly beautiful holiday lodge site set in thirty four acres of idyllic Welsh countryside. Set on the banks of the River Irfon, just outside the picturesque town of Builth Wells, the park is surely one of the most peaceful and tranquil in the region. The park does not have the facilities of many holiday parks, but prefers to ensure all visitors can fully relax amongst the lovely flora of the park, a million miles away from the hustle and bustle of normal daily life."
There are no caravans allowed - sorry Rachel you seem to have missed something very beautiful. The 16 travellers before you had glasses half full.... Other children find the bunk an adventure, the patio is immaculate as the photos show , the grass in front is cut fortnightly and the photos also show the wild part of the garden which is deliberately kept as a butterfly haven. I am saddened and genuinely surprised at this review since I always tell my guests when I greet them that I am on site and always happy to address any concerns. Other reviewers will confirm this to be the case. Not once did they come to me with any concerns.
We do not have a cat. If there was a smell of cat it was because the guests from the previous week brought their cat. This was not cleared with me beforehand so I had to allow the cat to stay as part of the group. I could easily have dealt with this had it been mentioned. Likewise I could have dealt with any issues relating to the shower. I dispute any suggestion that the property was not clean. There have been smoke detectors (2) and a CO2 alarm since the property was first available for letting so I am at a loss to understand why the guests failed to spot them.( In the breakfast room and on the landing window ledge.) I cannot see a problem in a room doubling as a study bedroom. Lots of people like to have a workspace and access to a printer.
Everyone who stays with us knows how we go the extra mile to deal with requests and complaints so I am puzzled as to why nothing was mentioned at the time yet the guests say they are "negotiating compensation." I expect they didn't take photos of the soiled bedding - together with a strong urine smell -they left me to deal with.
I could have made this holiday so much better had they come to me in the first place. So sad.
