Nestled in the hidden hamlet of Ashford is the gorgeous barn conversion called Owl’s Roost.

Part of a complex of 10 properties, Owl’s Roost has been recently renovated by the current owners to such a high spec, with beautiful wooden floors throughout, fabulous original local artwork adorning the walls and such thoughtful attention to detail, that holiday makers will want for nothing and will return time and time again.

Owl’s Roost is accessed through the wooden front door with stairs that lead to the first floor that houses 2 bedrooms, large light living room, family bathroom and kitchen / diner.

The lounge has floor to ceiling windows that offer lovely views of the country lanes adjoining the building. With plenty of comfy seating, an office space and a fabulous woodburner for those chilly nights, this large living space is perfect to kick back and relax after a hard day at the beach!

Bedroom one houses a lovely big king size oak bed with matching furniture whilst the second has twin beds, dressed with double duvets for extra cosiness.

The family bathroom has a white suite comprising toilet, sink, bath with shower over.

The kitchen is small yet perfectly formed! It has been thoughtfully fitted and contains every utensil a discerning holiday maker would need. Seating for 4 provides a sociable place to chat whilst food is cooking.

Outside there is a small seating area which is a real sun trap. Tastefully designed with a water feature and planters, it’s a lovely place to enjoy a process or 2 and watch the sun go down.

There is also a communal grass area in the centre of the complex where children can play safely.

    Beautiful, comfy, well appointed flat in a gorgeous part of Devon countryside.

    Everything was great from booking to leaving. The flat is lovely with everything you need and we were able to bring our dog which was a great bonus! No hesitation in recommending this place.

    Why can't I call Patsy (the owner) before booking?

    If you have any questions before booking, you can send the property owner/manager a message via the contact form on their listing. Once you’ve booked, you can discuss the rental and make arrangements for your trip by logging into Manage my booking.

    How do damage deposits work?

    In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

    Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.

    How do I edit my booking?

    You can request to change the dates or number of people on your booking via the Manage your holiday booking page. To change your holiday dates use the Edit booking button. If you need to change the number of guests staying then send Patsy (the owner) a message.

    If Patsy (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
