A holiday is not a holiday without a good night's sleep. Whether you're visiting for the weekend, a short break or an extended stay you will love our luxurious beds; there are two super-kings and a king-size, all of which can be split into singles. Whatever your choice you can look forward to crisp hotel quality bed linen, fluffy towels and complimentary toiletries. We have also thought carefully about our younger guests, we have bed guards and cots (but more of this later).

In summer, the south-facing and fully enclosed garden comes into it's own. A great place to enjoy barbecuing that fresh fish you bought earlier in the day, or to enjoy a glass of local English wine bought from one of the nearby vineyards. The prefect end to the perfect day!
The sand on the nearby beach is perfect for sandcastles and lagoons left by the receding tide, and often warmed by the sun, are the perfect place for children to splash around. The ideal place to spend your family seaside holiday or short break. Pack up a picnic - you will find a picnic rug, beach chairs, cool box with freezer blocks, thermos, wind-break and beach toys - and head off to the beach for some good old fashioned seaside fun.
As parents ourselves we have been on many self catering holidays and so have a good idea of what makes a holiday with a young family fun, relaxing and stress-free. Genuinely family friendly, The Salty Dog is equipped with travel cots, high chairs, dining booster seats, bed guards, stair gates, steam steriliser, socket covers, baby listening monitor, children's cutlery, plates bowls and beakers, toddler step, potty.... as well plenty of indoor, garden and beach toys.
We welcome every member of your family at The Salty Dog and that includes your dogs. Our own springer spaniel, Chloe, has worked hard to ensure that the needs of your canine companions are anything but forgotten. So we know exactly what makes a self-catering holiday with your four-legged friend relaxing and fun. So while you are enjoying your tea, scones and homemade jam your dog can tuck into some complimentary chews and biscuits. We provide dog bowls and a few toys but ask that you bring your dog's own bed and towels. The beach is a short walk away, less than five minutes when being towed by an eager hound, and even in the height summer there are miles of sand to be explored and seagulls to be chased. On the way back you can call in at the local pub, who welcome dogs and offer a selection of real ales and tasty home cooked food. They will even provide a bowl of water for your dog.
The spacious, open-plan accommodation consists of 3 bedrooms, each with zip-link beds, with en-suite shower room to the main bedroom; family bathroom; lounge; kitchen dining room; children's playroom and WC.
