A spacious and modern holiday home only a short walk from the famous Croyde beach with views to the surrounding hills.

This charming and spacious self-catering cottage sleeps 6 and is found on the delightful Leadengates Field site, in a cul-de-sac of holiday homes built originally as wooden cabins by a local landowner. In the middle of the cul-de-sac is a green with grass and shrubs. There is a footpath to the famous Croyde beach a short distance away (see map).

The cottage has three bedrooms and an open plan kitchen-diner and lounge. The kitchen is fully fitted with dishwasher,washing machine,fridge freezer and cooker. The lounge opens onto a large patio which has sun all afternoon and evening. The bathroom has a bath and integral electric shower.

There is a double bedroom with a vanity unit (wash basin and shaver point) and wardrobe and 2 twin rooms each with a wardrobe and a port-hole window.

Sitting Pretty has a TV and a DVD player. Wi-fi is also available.

Car parking is at the side of the cottage for 2 cars. There is a shed in the enclosed back garden which can be used to store surf boards and wetsuits/beach equipment. The shed also has a tumbledrier. The shed has a selection of rockpooling nets/buckets/spades and other beach equipment for you to use.

Activities in the local area include walking, surfing, swimming (2 indoor pools in Croyde), coasteering, golf (and crazy golf), horseriding, laying on the beach, drinking(!!), sandcastle building and during the high season there are football pitches and volleyball courts laid out on the beach.

Saunton Sands hotel has beauty treatments if you fancy pampering.

    Chris - thanks for your review and glad you managed to find everything you need. Regarding the BBQ - afraid this is a conscious decision on our part - following a neighbouring property nearly burning down following guests who were careless with ashes. We will have another think how we could best accommodate a BBQ whilst maintaining safety.

    Croyde bay at its best

    Last week in Croyde bay Devon was very special. A fabulous well stocked house and all the family coming and going. Sitting Pretty was the ideal home for us and very close to the village and sea.

    How do damage deposits work?

    In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

    Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.

    How do I edit my booking?

    You can request to change the dates or number of people on your booking via the Manage your holiday booking page. To change your holiday dates use the Edit booking button. If you need to change the number of guests staying then send Belinda (the owner) a message.

    If Belinda (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
